Denny's — Restaurant in Alafaya

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Most places on New YEAR Day have a waiting line out of the door. I am not surprised there was no waiting at this Denny's location. In my opinion, it is evident that something is wrong with this site. First, let me state that the only reason why I continued to visit this restaurant is the Grits. Trust me when I say, it's not because the food and customer service is incredible. LoL. There is a KeKe, IHop, and Perkins in the same location, but unfortunately, they don't sell grits. Today, purposely picked my food up late with the hopes that I didn't see an employee by the name of Amber. In my opinion, she is very unprofessional. She knows that I don't care for her because I have complained about her attitude in the past. Well, guess who was at the front desk? Amber. I got my food and walked out of the door. Checking the bag with the hopes of everything being correct, well wishful thinking on my behalf. So I turned around because I didn't see the grits that are usually in a brown bag, the syrup, and butter. So, of course, it's still Amber at the front, she says is something wrong? I said where are the grits or the syrup? She told me that they put the grits in the container. I don't know why they did that? So apparently she looked in the bag. I'm just shaken my head because that is major cross contamination. I said, how about the 3 syrup. She looked at the girl who must have packed it and said did you put three syrups in the box? She stated no and was handing me the 3 syrups. Now that should have been the end of the conversation. Nope, once again, here goes BIG MOUth Amber. Well, it's not on the receipt that you wanted three syrup. I said I could show you on my phone. I am not sure how it comes up on your end, but I stated. She continues to look at the receipt and states I don't know but it's not here. I said in my opinion, I could stand here and debate opinion with dumb, dumber, and dummies, but it's not worth. She then tells, well your order id right now is a condescending way. So I turned and walked off. Well, Amber has something else to say loud so I could hear. I said what did you say, Amber? She said I didn't say anything. I turned and walked away saying cause you always have something smart to say. So while I was outside with the door open, Amber says loud enough for me to hear from outside, "That is one nasty lady." I turned from outside with the door in my hand ajar, "no you are one nasty lady." She yells from the host station, "no you." Now you tell me if that's excellent customer service? A business usually put there best employees up front to represent the company. I now understand this is the best employee that this Denny's must have. How many bare hands have touched that black container, that was placed with open food? So now the germs from every person are now on my food. So from the parking lot I called to speak to the manager name Al who I know from the complaints about Amber. He apologized, but I know that this isn't the only complaint that he has received concerning her behavior. It's obvious that he cannot correct her behavior. Therefore I have decided to speak to someone higher. He did provide me with the name of Jerry P. who I will be calling and...

First, they sat me and my baby and 1 other adult at a table for 6 because they didn't want to wash one of the many empty booths. Then I was left standing at our table holding my baby while the guy who sat us (also the server) puttered behind the counter. I finally had to ask for a high chair after waiting several minutes to see if maybe he was trending to something else first. When one was brought to me, I had to scrub caked on old brown bits of something off of it, and there was no way I was going to use the straps to buckle her, as they were green and moldy and covered in old food. Even the table next to me wrinkled their nose in disgust at the sight. Then we were brought drinks with no straws... which I though maybe they were trying to save turtles or whatever, but no he just forgot until half our drinks were gone. Which isn't nearly as bad as him bringing out our food and forgetting our silverware. Asked us if there was anything else we needed... yes sir, something for us to eat with. Oh, and the odd out of place question while we were ordering a BURGER and BRISKET MAC N CHEESE... he asked if we wanted a side of pancakes and eggs with that? But that really isn't complain worthy, just odd. And the fact that they can only prepare a burger at well-done temp (gross) was displeasing, but not awful. However, my brisket was so charred and dry on top of my Mac. I have had burnt ends before, but this was charcoal. It disintegrated into ash. And the onion rings on top were not eatable. Tasted like very old fryer oil. And then my poor baby got the kids menu mac n cheese. She didn't even eat it. She is not picky and she loves mac. But this was dry and tasted like it was reheated from the previous day. She pushed it away after a few bites. At least he kept our cups refilled. I do appreciate that. But yeah, I won't say Dennys is dead to me, but this...

One star is too much for this experience it was absolutely horrible!! We three walk in waitress yells across the restaurant seat yourself in the corner, then took forever to come great us! Only gave our party of three, two stes of silverware.comes over bending over huffing and puffing saying hold in guys I'm catching my breath. Took a while for her to come back with the drinks. Then disappears for a while and couldn't even place our order finally comes back we order, then she said she'd be back with refills because​ all of our drinks were empty. Watched her stand there just talking to a co-worker then comes to clean a table off and says I'll be back with your refills, then goes back to cleaning the table. She brings dishes back then comes back to wipe down the tables at this point I just felt bad for her figured they were under staffed.. but then she comes over and says I know you need a refill but I haven't had a break today and I'm sneaking out for a cigarette...She goes out comes back in gets drinks, gets our food after holding it in the tray in her shoulder while just standing there chit chatting with another employee. Food comes out.. it was undercooked.. I get up to go tell her because she hasn't came back to the table, she says let me take those off your plate and cook them more. We tell her we don't want to wait that we just want to leave that it's been a horrible experience. The. Proceeds to say omg why then we say again we just want our check says shell get the manger..We didn't want anymore food we didn't want anything besides our check so we could leave the manager comes over and ask what the problem was and we say we just want our check we don't want to be here anymore then says we'll let me go cook those more for you..
