First time at this specific location, I've been to the original location numerous times but for this specific location the food wasn't as good as it is at the OG spot. The salt and pepper fries were sweet and not salty like I would have thought due to the name being salt and pepper fries. I instantly knew it was accent but just a bit too much of it as I had drank more than a couple cups of water while eating the fries and wings. I also had the garlic noodles but to me the garlic wasn't as present as with the original location. I really wanted to give a good review of this location but maybe I ordered the wrong items?

The staff were friendly and the food came out relatively fast considering how it seemed pretty busy for a Sunday but perhaps I'll have to come back to try some of the other items. I'm not knocking Monkey King at all, just this visit had me confused with how the menu items could be different from the original location when they are the second location just with a brewery attached to the adjacent side.

Don't let my review discourage you from visiting this location though, it might've just been busy and it could have just been a honest mistake. If you haven't been to this location and have been to the original spot don't hesitate to try this one out if you enjoy a slightly larger location with the attachment of a brewery next door. I'll have to come back here and try it out another time because they do...

Ok I'm so glad I was given the chance to rate this establishment because someone gave then an incorrect rating. So let's get a few things straightened out. The Monkey club they rated was the wrong establishment. The person rated the brewery not the restaurant. There's two locations folks but one owner. Now the food location is further up the block on the same block! The restaurant owner is so cool we can watch football while eating, dance and bust a move if your favorite song comes on while eating! But the food portions are amazing! Because one plate can feed 2 to 3 people! Yes sir Yes ma'am! The only thing I don't like is you have to walk up and order your food and then go sit down and wait for it. Now if you forgot what your guess wanted then you either have to call him or her or yell across the restaurant and who does that ??? The drinks are on hit and you must go after 5pm for that great vibe the restaurant offers. Great for large birthday gatherings or watching a game and listening to great R&B selections! As for the food everything is great but my favorite is the crab fried rice and honey walnut prawns but don't sleep on those freakin "dried fried ribs"!...

Found this place after going to the brewery next door. We didn't know you can bring your beer here from next door and order food here!!! We walked and saw they have food and ice cream!!! It smelled delicious when we walked in. There were so many good options on the menu it was hard to decide what we really wanted. We ended up ordering the salt & pepper wings with garlic noodles, lemon pepper wings, spicy garlic crab fries, hot cheetos elote and salt & pepper mozzarella sticks. We didn't know each item came with fries, so we ended up with a lot of fries. The wings were flavorful, you can really taste the salt, pepper and lemon in each bite. The crab fries could've used more crab. The salt pepper mozzarella sticks were ok, don't think i'd order that again. The hot cheetos elote was delicious. The hot cheetos gave it that spice and crunch to it. We also ended up getting ice cream. They have a good variety. I got the mocha crunch ice cream. It was creamy and had the right amount chocolate in it with coffee. I will definitely go back to this place to try out the other items...

Overall, 3 out of 5. It does have a nice vice, we went and had about a 30-40min wait for two. they were really busy but the staff were able to keep up. I must say for my first experience here, the garlic noodles had waaay too much butter and we left the plate pretty full. The honey walnut shrimp sauce was thick like mayonnaise, sadly to say and it just wasn't edible. The spicy wings and rice, without ginger, was the best. The Ninja turtle drink was awesome, not watered down very well made. The bathrooms need a real makeover. As much volume as they receive, you would think it wouldn't look like a gas station bathroom, needs to be cleaned and little lighting. It's an okay spot, but they do need to upgrade. Overall, it was okay, maybe some nights are better than others but definitely try it out first.
