The Mountain Mike’s Pizza on Central Ave in Alameda was extremely rude. We had a promise delivery time of 5:05pm and when the pizza was not delivered at 5:20pm I called the store and the lady that answered said the driver had left and he was on his way and would be there shortly. I went ahead and called back at 5:25pm because I had not received a call about a late delivery. The lady said she was the only one in the store when I asked to speak to the manager and then said she would try getting a hold of the driver. At 5:30 the doorbell rang and the guy was holding our pizza and said he had been trying to call when he left the place at 5:10 to deliver. Well 5:10 leaving is already late of a 5:05 delivery. He then showed me he called many time and showed me he had indeed been calling the wrong number which he did apologize for and we got our pizza hot which was great and good!! Then I had a missed call after we ate from the lady at the pizza place I had first talked too and she left an extremely rude message saying, “your pizza was delivered at exactly 5:05 and we had called and messaged you many times, check your phone and look out your door.” Will not order from...
Read moreEvery aspect of our dinner was 1 star--at best. Expensive - Large pizza and churros almost $5p Pizza - burnt crust - mushrooms sliced paper thin provided a visual, but no flavor - pizza must have been set in jalepenos or jalepeno juice at the shop. Each bite was like playing Russian Roulette. Will I get a bit of cheese and mushroom?? Or this time will it be mouth-full-o-fire! Very uncool when sharing pizza with the kids. Churros - Think stale, grease-drenched leftover dough. You could wring these babies out, they were so greasy. And the oil obviously hadn't been changed recently. Bleck. Really really bad. And served with ranch dressing. Interesting choice. Delivery guy - Rude. And rude. Condescending. Did I mention rude? (note to self: do not tip with order. wait until you have pizza in hand to determine level of...
Read more5-Star For Consistency across the entire Mountain Mike's brand in The Bay Area. As someone who grew up not liking pizza---MMP just does it for me. More importantly, I know what to expect whenever I visit an MMP. It's no guess work. I know the double Pepperoni's will excite me like it's the first time I've had pizza....but every single time. You cant argue with superb customer service and great pizza ...all under one roof. This isn't a kiss up to a brand, I just like what I like when I like it....with no excuses and with the same consistency. That's good old fashioned American ethics. The Food & Bev industry could learn a lot from MMP's business model: Keep it simple. Keep it real. Thank you Dorothy & Team Alameda MMP!! Good talks--- Great pizza. Excellent service...
