Stumbled upon Arigato by accident staying at a motel down the street while I overnight in Anchorage on my way to work for 5 weeks up in the Northwest part of the state. I was HUNGRY when I came in and ordered several dishes-edamame, spicy tofu, tempura Halibut (seasonal), and two sushi rolls. The owner who was waiting on me also surprised me with a delicious little soup and salad to start the feast. Every dish was one more delicious than the next. The edamame was piping hot with perfect amount of salt, spicy tofu 10/10, the tempura halibut had so much flavor and dipped in a little splash of soy sauce was so tasty, and the sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful and delicious. Only ate 2 peace’s (the first peace didn’t have the eel on it) and they made me pay for the whole roll. On top of the horrible sushi horrible service waited 10-15 minutes for waitress to come out of the back to tell her and ended up having to go to counter where the man was on his phone. I stood there for a minute or two he didn’t look up so I told him the sushi was inedible and that I wouldn’t pay for food I couldn’t eat and walked away he came out and said he would call the cops so I paid left so I wouldn’t have cops after me!
