Incredible battered yelloweye and halibut on a stick, delicious secret recipe tartar (even though the fish really doesn't need it), and the best atmosphere you'll find in Sitka, I guarantee. You'll have to walk off the beaten pathway, away from the hordes of cruise ship people, but what you'll find will not disappoint. Scotty even let us take his canoe for a spin on the bay while he cooked our fish (yes, he even has a few PFDs you can use as seat cushions.) Read moreAt first look you think is this the place? YES it is! Let's start with the fish... had the yellow eye, perfectly fried and the homemade sauce to go with it was great (malt vinegar, lemon, chives) was a perfect compliment. He nails the fish perfectly and some of the best fried fish ive had.
There is one table and a little room to stand and eat makes this place seem like its a hidden gem only the locals would know about.
The decor was all old items with lots of history that has been collected, and if your wise you'll ask your host about the place and hear some great stories about the area!
