Tonight at 10:30pm my family and I visited the Neighborhood Applebee’s in Albany, GA on 637 Westover Blvd. We had to wait 1hr to be seated due to the COVID restrictions that were in placed and didn’t have no problem with that. When we did go back into the restaurant the young employee that was suppose to had been showing us to our table had a attitude with us for no reason at all. After she told us that our table was ready she disappeared on us and that’s when your new employee Gianna B can to our rescue. This young lady was working her behind off tonight and deserve some excellent recognition. She ended up showing us to our seats, giving us a menu, letting us know about the deals that were going on, and stayed with us until we left. Always she made sure that we was okay and everything was to our liking every 10 to 15 minutes. The lady that was bartending at the bar tonight was also excellent and very helpful with some of the drinks that we had questions about. When it came to our food it took so long to come out the kitchen to the point we had to send somethings back because it was cold. The restaurant wasn’t even full anymore at that time. The cooks in the kitchen couldn’t get any work done like they should because the workers that suppose to be on the floor acting like it was a party in the kitchen. They was talking loud and would stand around like there is nothing to be done. I have never been in a Applebee’s were the team wasn’t functioning properly and it showed very well. One of your employees messed up one of the stalls in the women’s restroom and tried to play it off like she didn’t do anything when my wife came in. Nobody was sent in there to fix the toilet the entire time we was there. So some of the other customers who were females had to use the men’s restroom instead. How is it possible for the men restroom to be way more cleaner and fully stock (tissue, paper towels, hand soap) than the women’s restroom. The managers that were working tonight barely came on the floor to check on there customers and to make sure that there workers was actually working. From our perspective the online To Go orders were being fixed and sent out faster than the ones who was actually dinning in. Then what made my wife really amazed is that the girl who suppose to greet everyone at the door was in the back all cuddled up with her boyfriend while still on the clock. I mean this is so unprofessional; and I will never go back to this place. I swear the young people there need to be retrained on what it means to work as team and not act like there isn’t work to be done. If there were a manager working tonight they need to be held accountable and fired to allow this to happen under...
Read moreMy family and I decided to go to Applebees to celebrate my fathers birthday and the experience was horrible! We were very patient when waiting to be seated because it took about 10 minutes or so. Our server started off very friendly however it took about 15 minutes just to get SOFT drinks and one person at my table didn’t receive her drink until about 30 minutes after being there. The bar drinks also took over 20 minutes to come out. We had to ask for straws and silverware. Once we received the silverware it was not wrapped or in any package it was dirty silverware that was on a brown napkin. We ordered two appetizers which came out 5-10 minutes apart and was not hot . I asked for the spinach dip to be sent back because I did not like it and it was not even filled and the server never took it back and it was on my check at the end of the night . When I asked for the spinach dip to be sent back he stated a manager would have to come and I said that was fine and we never did see a manager . Only TWO people out of the EIGHT people received refills and the server did not even bring them someone else did (whom I tipped for helping out so much, this same person brought out our appetizers). Food begin coming out 1-2 entrees at a time . My father (the birthday man) NEVER received his food and the manager NEVER came out to apologize or talk to us. Also two other guest NEVER got their food by the time half of our party was leaving. I repeatedly asked for condiments and tgo drinks which I never received. Also when it was time to pay for my check TWO people at my party paid with $100 bill. We were told that the server had to wait for change which was fine . Once the server came back with our change it was not even the correct change! And we never did get correct change ! This was VERY unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone ! I work as a server myself and I would never treat any of my guest this way especially on their birthday!! Shame on the manager especially for not even attempting to speak with us when we were there for over 2 hours!! I definitely plan to contact corporate .
UPDATE Ms. Kayla reached out to me on behalf of Applebees and was very understanding and helpful! She assured me that this experience is not a reflection of Applebees as a whole. She addressed all of the issues in my complaint and even sent me a gift card. Thank you so...
Read moreWent here with my hubby for Veteran's Day. They were extremely busy. We had 4 different people checking on us. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. When asked if they were short staffed, we were told no and that each table had 2 servers assigned to them (which is funny since we had 4 different people come to our table, one of which was the bartender, the 3rd lady was running food all over the restaurant). I was told they didn't have broccoli, and corn was the seasonal veggie, but my plate came with broccoli (which is what I wanted, but the waitress didn't know what they were actually serving?) So, I ordered from the menu that was given to me. It had about 8 entrees to choose from. Thinking they were operating with an abbreviated menu because of Veteran's Day, I chose one of those meals. I soon realized that was not the case and could have ordered from the regular menu, but was never offered a regular menu. So, ugh! When our food finally arrived, it was was overcooked. My hubby ordered the burger, cooked medium, advertised as having two patties. It was well done, with one patty that looked like it came from Wendy's...it was incredibly thin. I ordered the petite sirloin, also cooked medium. It was well done and extremely dry! Now most folks might say, "it was a free meal, stop complaining!" Mine was not a free meal! However, if a restaurant is giving free meals, shouldn't that be your time to shine! All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked lack-luster, not just ours! One table beside us was told they didn't have marinara sauce to go with the cheese sticks, the other did not receive any sauces with their food (they ordered fried shrimp, I know because it was first delivered to us) and had to leave the table to find someone and ask about the sauces. It really felt like the overall attitude was the staff just didn't care - with how the food looked, how the food was cooked, with tending to their guests. Seems like if you are offering a free meal, people are going to come and this it the perfect time to make sure everyone is taken care of and the food looks and tastes great, give us a reason to return! We were given $5 off our next purchase, but I won't be using it, because I won't be returning for a very long time. I will say the staff was VERY friendly, all 4 of them, especially the young lady that was running food all over...
