I have visits Corks on a few different occasions. Some to bring to work some just as a treat. It’s hard to find good donuts these days. And living in the valley my whole life I always have searched and never Turkey been satisfied. I’m not into voodoo donuts. More of a donut purest. Well Corks does a decent job!
Service: I’m always greeted with a kind very efficient staff member. They know the product so well even if I miss speak they know what I mean. It’s very quick. They smile and do their best every time whether it’s 6am on a Wednesday or 9 on a Sunday.
Food: they aren’t the best donuts I have ever had, but they are far superior to any grocery store donut or even some fancy bakery. They have great cake and regular donuts. I usually get the bakers dozen, but on occasion have purchased some specialties that are always good. They’re savory pastries aren’t bad either. They make a serviceable coffee as well. One diamond in the rough donut I found is their blueberry cake donut. I’d eat a box of those. I have never had a donut here that was over cooked or felt it was done in old oil. And that is enough to keep me coming back
Price: it’s not the cheapest. But if I want a good donut that I won’t feel bad paying for my...
Read moreStrange mixture of good donuts & coffee and inconsistent hours. I sometimes pass thru Albany on my way to work, but I never know if they're going to be open. But for people like me coming from out of town, it can still be hit or miss especially if you don't come early in the morning.
When they are open, they have pretty good donuts and coffee. I would say that Daynight Donuts in Salem has slightly better flavors, but unlike Daynight, their cafe area is more inviting and the people are friendlier. Would definitely give them more stars if they could pin down their...
Read moreFirst time here last Thursday. Several locals I work with said they had good stuff so I tried it.
Got 2 dozen assorted donuts, even some maple bars with bacon, some Bavarian filled, etc. specialty donuts. 1 box was for the office, 1 for our stockroom onsite ATI.
I had half of 3 different kinds, both were as good as any I've had, and I've eaten some donuts, believe me. That's why I only had half of each, I've probably had a few too many in my life already 😆!
It was about $44 for 2 dozen, including a fair amount of "specialty" ones, like 7 or 8. For comparison, a dozen regular old donuts from Albertsons is at least $18, more if you get any specialty ones.
These are well worth $2-3 more.
(Next time I'll...
