My fiancee and I were passing through town (in actuality, we were really looking for a bathroom), but she told me that she really liked the Chicken wonton tacos that she have as an applebees in a different area. So, I used this as an excuse to both patronize the restaurant and take a potty break. I went to use the restroom first. When I came back, my fiancee had two Mai Tais sitting at the table waiting for us. They were mixed better than most of the Mai Tais I've ever had in my life (and I've really only had two). We both ordered a chicken wonton taco a piece. Because they were part of a 2 for $10 deal, she also ordered the French onion soup and I ordered pretzels with beer batter cheese dip. I really enjoy the Chicken wonton tacos. They almost seemed like they cheated a little bit because it seemed like they added coleslaw for the vegetable part then the chicken and then they added two slices of lime on the side. That was actually good. As for the pretzels, I actually expected pretzels. But instead, they served two long pieces of pretzel baked bread that could be cut and then dipped into the cheese dip which was placed in one of their soup bowls. In my opinion, they were not "pretzely" enough (meaning that I don't feel that they had enough salt and they didn't have that tasty pretzel aftertaste that I enjoy). They had other appetizers that I could have chosen from, but I kind of chose on the fly because I was trying to just grab a quick bite and get back on the road. Two things that really just bump The experience up a notch was the amazing customer service. A young maitre d' made sure that we didn't touch the door upon entering or exiting the restaurant. He sat us quickly and make sure he gave us both a greeting and a valediction (that's when you say goodbye). Our server, Harley, was very cute and not pushy and I feel that she was very quick to serve us (maybe because there really weren't a lot of people in there at the time of our visit). The only thing keeping this place from getting 5 stars was the food Quality. In fact, I really just want to give...
Read moreThe waitress was VERY SLOW. She complained to us about there only being 3 waiters on and no hostess. We had to wait 25 minutes for our drinks from the bar. We asked about them 3 different times and kept being told she was "waiting on the bar". One of us had a very dirty fork in our silverware roll. We asked 4 different times for a clean fork which we never did get. In fact, 2 of us ended up sharing one fork just so we could eat. The chips that came with our spinach and artichoke dip were burnt. Once our meals came out the fries that came with the meal were very cold. We asked for hot fries. About 10 minutes later the waitress came back and said she'll be right back with the rice??? We corrected her saying "hot fries" very clearly to which she replied "you already have fries" .🤦♀️ yes but they are ice cold. Out of the 3 orders of fries that were brought out, only 1 was finally hot enough to eat. The waitress forgot to bring the side of ranch 3 times. When she finally did bring it, we were 80% finished with our food and she spilled it all over the table; so much so all our napkins were used and she still had to go find a rag to wipe everything down. Several times I had to leave my seat to ask other servers for things that I needed, to which they simply replied "oh that's in the back" and then walk away from me. I was able to find the to go container on my own though. After we had finished eating, I put our leftovers in the box, and we were looking all over for our waitress to get our bill, she finally shows up at the table with the second drink from the bar. Are you really kidding me? I won't be back. Waitress is really lucky my parents were treating us to dinner tonight because I wouldn't have left her a single penny for a tip. When I start getting so impatient with a waitress that I start timing how long it's been since I've seen you out on the floor, and it's over 20 minutes, you get...
Read moreWorst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. My sister and I have been driving on a road trip for 10 hours already and we stopped to get lunch with our 3 toddlers. Our server was great but the food was terrible. I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I started eating and after 5 minutes I had to run to the bathroom and I didn’t make it to the toilet I threw up all the steak and broccoli and mashed potatoes right on the floor in the bathroom. I am currently 6 months pregnant and was starving even after throwing up so I continued to eat my food thinking my baby just didn’t agree with it but I needed to eat. When we left we had to stop multiple times because I kept throwing up bits of steak and broccoli. We arrived at our hotel for the night and I spent the entire time in the bathroom having stomach problems and throwing up more bits of steak that I can visibly see! My sister drove me to urgent care to make sure my baby was ok and I was ok because I couldn’t stop throwing up. When we called the restaurant and spoke to the manager to let them know what happened the manager told us that we needed to come to the restaurant and show proof that I went to urgent care due to food poisoning of their food to get a refund. But we were already in a different state hours away we couldn’t just drive back. Please be careful ordering food and check your food! Definitely would not recommend honestly because I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I went through it was extremely miserable and I’m...
