UPDATE: I had what could only be described as “delightful” conversation with a Mr. Jesse Thompson. He was genuinely interested in my thoughts on the experiences I had and convinced me he is going to be following up with his team about how to improve. We spoke for almost twenty-five minutes in regards to the situation, and we ended the conversation on quite the high note.
While the chill and inviting atmosphere lures one in for a brewery type vibe, this BJ’s has left this customer less than satisfied. I came to BJ’s last week on a date with my husband and did not end up with a meal as I had ordered. The server was friendly and encouraged me to order a half order of wings and assured me they would come out nice and crispy. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn’t follow through with the request, and the wings were found wanting. The manager on duty was kind and apologetic. He took the wings off my ticket and offered to make me a replacement or for me to order something different. As this was a date, my husband and I were on borrowed sitter time. The manager (whose name escapes me) not only took care of my lunch, he provided me with a voucher to have lunch on him another visit. Even though I left hungry, I was not at all disappointed in the service provided. Tonight, barely over a week since my first experience fell flat, friends wanted to meet up at BJ’s. I went along and steered clear of the wings this time instead ordering the California Chicken Club sandwich. To my disgust, the chicken was not cooked to temperature and served pink and raw. When brought to the manager (Carlos), he returned to my table claiming it was a tendon piece and not undercooked at all. Guess they should add gaslighting to the menu. Disappointment was the entire theme of the meal this Friday night. From the slow service, “new” server whom seemed to miss the mark in overall friendly service demeanor, and manager who needs customer service training, I am not going to be able to give this BJ’s a hearty recommendation for a future...
Read moreMy dad wanted to celebrate my birthday after a long day of fishing and a sunburn. He loves this place at home and was hoping to have the same great experience. Unfortunately is was so far from a great or even good experience. It took 15 mins for our waitress to come to us…. By that time we had already decided on what to get. My siblings have all done a form or waitressing or restaurant management … so I was chill about the wait. Although tired and thirsty. When she took our order. Everything seemed on point. But then …. Our drinks came out maybe 15 more mins after with our salads being given to the table behind us. We understood the mistake and it was quickly taken from the table to us. So we waited for appetizer which we expected before the salads. But no worries …. We couldn’t eat the salads without our silverware which we were still waiting for. We finally got those only to hear once again our food had been given to another table. We had both ordered a different steak with sides. It was my birthday dinner from my dad. But after having it sent to the wrong table again and finally us. I refused to eat food that was incorrect and given to other patrons. Legally it’s just not ok. I have family working for county health inspector. I know. But the waiter argued and then the waitress apologized. Although the person that made the mistake over and over again… began to argue it was fine . So the manager did come and bring two steaks. New? I have no idea. With the right sides and items with meal…. No. He still charged us for the salads… and said there I made it right. Nope…. I will never go there. My friends who live in town are embarrassed it even happened but they never eat there either. We will still to safe and reputable places. After they said they would bring me out the items I was supposed to get. I said no thank you I’d rather not eat spit. He said “ no we have cameras” … not no we would never do that and I deeply apologize. So yep…...
Read moreWhen we ordered the sirloin and chicken, our server didn’t ask what cook we wanted on the steak. She brought us medium done and we couldn’t eat it because we only have well done. The asparagus could’ve as well been raw because it was bright green and inedible. I asked for another asparagus and begged for it to be a little more cooked but she brought the same thing. Our rice was not cooked all the way either. There were some really hard ones and then few soft so it was just like eating raw rice. I sent my order back and got the jambalaya instead. Which took ages to arrive. My friend just chose to eat his but he was so disappointed cuz he had to spit out almost every bite of his steak and rice. Now my boyfriend on the other hand ordered a full rack of ribs that comes with onion rings and sides of a roasted potato and fries. She forgot the onion rings and the fries and halfway through we had to ask her to please bring them. How do you forget half of the dish? Now the ribs claimed to be slow roasted which means the meat should be falling off the bone. We have never seen slow roasted ribs in any restaurant or even when we cook it at home, that doesn’t fall of the bone. It was even difficult to cut and difficult to bite off. And to top everything off, when she was taking our plates away, she asked him to please put some plates on the one she was holding in her hand. We always try to pack up our finished plates to help the servers, but in our whole lives of eating out, we’ve never been asked to actually help with putting plates away. Everything just felt like a big scam and it was the worst money ever spent out. Both the food and the service were absolutely subpar and you couldn’t pay me to ever set foot there again. I have never reviewed a restaurant before no matter how annoyed I was but this is the first time because we really had the...
