I used to go to Slapfish about twice per week. It was absolutely fantastic. It had everything going for it, great menu items, a big board of fresh fish, and awesome hot sauces you couldn't get anywhere else. But recently they changed all of these things. They got rid of their entire menu, including the best/most iconic items (ultimate fish taco, lobster taquitos, etc). Strike one. Their hot sauces are actually just bottles of cholula and Tabasco. Strike two. I decided to still give it a shot and try the shrimp burrito. It came out having been cut on a VERY long diagonal, so that almost the entire burrito was cut open. Then it was drenched in some sauce all over the top. And since it was cut open, it's sitting in the juices from (what should be) inside the burrito. So the tortilla is wet and soggy and weak. So even if it wasn't drenched in sauce, I still couldn't pick it up like a burrito because it's soggy and wet. I tried to eat it with a fork, but then I'm just eating individual ingredients, NOT a burrito. Oh and they charged 17 dollars for this catastrophe, and ask for a tip before you've even seen your food. Strikes three and four. I used to tell everyone I knew coming through Albuquerque to go to slapfish. Now I'll make sure that myself, my family, and my friends never come here again. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. I certainly will be.

Incredibly fresh and great tasting seafood in a super clean setting with attentive staff. We had the Fish and Chips and a deep fried side of cauliflower. The Cod was fried in an amazing tempura batter and rivaled the best deep fried fish I have had in my 61 years on the planet. The fries were long cut and perfectly done. The same goes for their fried cauliflower. Everything was hot, fresh and amazing. Note. Barbara was our cashier and gave us an extra plate since we were sharing. It's wonderful to be treated like a guest. Last but not least the decor and dining area were ultra clean and welcoming. We will be back to try their rolls, tacos and maybe their brownies. Great place and very reasonably priced with high quality food and service. UPDATE: They did it again. We returned to try the shrimp tacos and once again they nailed it. Fresh avocado slice lined the warm cooked tortilla. The sautéed onions and peppers were a perfect complement to the amazing citrus based salsa that I must say is a delectable fusion concoction to enhance the always consistent tempura like crunch of the shrimp. Consistency of quality is a rarity in today's restaurant business. We found it in spades at Slapfish. Not to be overlooked, Barbara served us again and her demeanor and attentiveness to service were right on point. We leave here full and extremely happy!

Went there after trying to find a good fish place with high hopes. Wife ordered fish tacos and I ordered fish and chips. First, the fish tacos were literally just fish sticks that looked like they were pulled from a bag you find at the market, the tortillas were stale and the salsa had the consistency of blended whole limes with some unripe tomatoes. The food was nasty. I ordered the fish and chips. Again, 3 little fish sticks with a tartar sauce whose main ingredient must have been salt because that’s all you tasted. I thought, I’ll eat the fries and sure enough they were just as salty as the tartar sauce. I went to complain about the taste and their response was to give me a new tartar sauce. The place was extremely cold with an older family bundled up in blankets to keep warm. DO NOT GO HERE, is you plan on having a good meal. Very unhelpful and the guy cooking the food could hear me and never even acknowledged or tried to make it right.

My review can not vouch for the food because we didn't get the chance to try it but my review will definitely reflect the customer service we did recieve yesterday upon trying to place an order. I called in about 7:15 (they close at 8) and I was told to hold. So me respectfully I did so....I was on hold for well over 9 mins. I did hangup and call back because I assumed it was a mistake and they forgot we were on hold. Once the lady answered she immediately tried to put me on hold once again, I let her know I had called and was left on the line for close to 10 mins, before I could finish a sentence to ask her if I could place an order she just placed me on hold once again. Another 5 mins pass and I gave up trying. We found a burger joint a few doors down from them that served us promptly, efficently, and delivered even though they were 30 mins from closing. I'm pretty bummed because I have been following Slapfish for quite some time on IG and was very excited to try it out. The creator of the food and restaurant seems to take pride in his food and serving people. But these employees not so much. I don't know if they didn't want to deal with us or take anymore orders even though they had another 45 mins under their belt til closing. But it's not right, and I'm highly discouraged to ever TRY and order from here again. And on another note they weren't crazy busy. We saw it with our own eyes because we were in the parking lot trying to order for a quick to go order. We saw a couple leaving as we arrived, a couple eating outside, and one person come in to pick up during this whole time. I'll leave it at that, not impressed with the...
