If I could give a no star I would. I work with a school and we order catering orders twice a week from this store. SEVERAL times our pizzas have come so messed up we can’t serve them to the students. We then have to wait for them to fix our orders making our whole students days late because they are waiting for food. This hasn’t been too big of a bother because they have fixed it no issue in the past, though it would take them forever. However, this most recent time we AGAIN had almost half of our order completely smashed up and stuck to the boxes I called the store right away. The manager was trying to convince me to not do anything about it because it would look bad on her numbers (coming up with excuses like it would take up to an hour, no one has a car even though I personally know the crew because I worked there and some of the workers with cars were indeed there, etc.) I then offered to just come and pick it up so our kids could eat somewhat on time. When I arrived they were cutting the pizzas. I waited an additional 15 minutes because the boxer put the rush in the warmer. The lack of urgency is ridiculous at this store. Beyond the fact that the worker Lilly who helped me at the counter was SO rude even though is THEIR fault I was having to bother her in the first place, the manager offered no sort of compensation, did not help me at all while I was there, and did not care that her crew is CONTINUING to mess up yet again. I can’t believe I have to waste my time and my gas because a store can’t do anything correct and they have the audacity to be rude to me....
Read moreFirst and foremost, this review has nothing to do with the quality of the food at this location. This week is National Nurses Week. I called and asked if they could make a specialty pizza for me. A large pizza that said “Best DON Ever,” written in pepperonis. The girl who answered the phone said they could. She was very polite. I went through the drive thru and payed for the pizza. The cashier handed me the pizza. Before I drove off I opened the box and saw that it looked like a regular pepperoni pizza. I knocked on the window and told him that the pizza did not look like it said anything on it. He went and got the manager. The manager came to the window with a lot of an attitude. He told me they cannot write things out with toppings on the pizza and he told the girl that took my order that. I told him that it was fine. If I would have known that I wouldn’t have ordered the pizza. I ordered it as more of a novelty piece for my director of nursing. I told him I didn’t need it and I would like a refund. He asked for my name and card that I used to purchase it. He refunded the money back to my card. He handed me my card back and I asked for his name and he slammed the window on me and walked off. Luckily, the refund slip had his name on it. His name is Rob Shafer. People like Rob should not be in management as he had horrible customer service skills. I was never rude to him once for him to act like this. All I can hope is that he does not treat the employees the way...
Read moreDion's is a good, cheap, and reliable place to get a pizza, salad, and/or sub sandwich. That's probably why the locally owned chain has always done so well in the greater Northern New Mexican area. This location on Academy is usually my go-to spot as it has the closet proximity to my apartment. I'm lucky that it is too, as this Dion's has a lot it to be given credit for. Whether it's the restaurant's friendly service, cleanliness, large size, plentiful seating, quick service, and scenic view(s). Dion's on Academy is no doubt one of the top standard bearers within the chain. Upon my most recent visit during the late-night hours; I found myself in the mood for a large ham and cheese sub. I placed my order and after about ten minutes my name was called over the intercom. Despite having said to the cashier that I intended to dine-in, my meal had been prepared to-go. No harm done, however, as it was a simple mistake that ended working out in my favor as I just took the second-half home for later. The sandwich itself was jammed packed full of meat and cheese and the kitchen was generous (as usual) when it came to my side order of chips. An overall pleasant late-night diner and I owe the fine people at Dion's on Academy for making it happen. This particular area of town isn't too abundant in restaurant options, so keep this place in mind if looking for a satisfying bite without...
