Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Einstein Bagels are delicious! However this location specifically needs to prepare better for its customers. The last 4 times I have visited this location they have been out of almost all bagels. This is unacceptable when the primary menu item is bagels. I can understand this happening when a new location launches but this location has been around long enough to gauge supply and demand. It does not make matters any better when an employee rudely proclaims "whatever is out as all we have," which is what we heard them tell the customers in front of us. The customers behind us quietly grumbled about this location always being out of bagels and then it hit me that they have been out of bagels on my last several visits to this location. After begrudgingly ordering whatever was left behind I sat and watched customer after customer walk in, look at the mostly empty bagel case and turn around and walk out. That is money walking out the door simply because this Einstein Bagel location was not prepared for them. Today I am at work talking to my coworkers about my experience and one of coworkers said, "let me guess... it's the Riverside location?" When I told her she was correct she went on to say "they never have bagels when I walk in and they tell me dont know when more will be available. I decided to drive across town to eat at a different Einstein Bagel because they always have the bagel I want ready." I may have to follow her lead and do the same. This location could easily be 5 stars... if they were...

My girlfriend and I visit this location pretty frequently, there’s almost always a younger lady with black hair working the register who always greets us and serves us with a good attitude. However, today when I went in, I was told to wear a mask, I didn’t have one with me and wasn’t provided with one either, when I explained that to the lady working I was told rudely that I need to sit outside and wait for my order, keep in mind it’s absolutely none of her business whether or not I wear a mask. However I waited outside, got my order, when I received my order the younger lady that took my order brought it out to me and told me to have a nice day. My sandwich was thrown together, seriously it was just a ball of toppings in the paper. There was hardly any cream cheese on most of my bagels, there was paper on two of my bagels and my chai tea latte tastes like hot water with no flavor. I do not appreciate this in any way. The lady who dealt with us like this was blonde with an undercut and had glasses, I didn’t catch her name. The other one however was kind and friendly. I worked customer service and register for many years, i understand what people that work in that field have to deal with, it sucks sometimes and we have bad days because of it. However, taking it out on your customers and throwing my order together with an attitude is not how you deal with those situations. Like I said we did not appreciate the service we received from the blonde lady and we will not be returning...

Buying bagels for the work crews to say thanks for their hard work. The bagels were fresh, soft, and tasty. And for New Mexico, Einstein does a passable job as a NY deli. So everything is good in the bagel and schmear department. Tried to order online the day prior, but that option was not available. Tried to call in the order and was told I had to come in the next morning and make the purchase. Showed up when they opened, started the order, and then was told they could only fill half the order because it would wipe out their inventory and have to bake more. Being able to place a big order a day ahead would of solved that problem. Eventually we we're able to work everything out and the whole order was filled.
