Disappointed is not enough... I would love a reply from leadership. We had guests in town, decided to support a great local business. My friends and I absolutely love KūKri, so we brought our guests.
We were the first group to order, two #1 3pc and a 4pc(medium). The other groups received their orders 1st, no big deal, ours will be out shortly. By the time the other orders were almost consumed we had yet to receive our orders. We had been in contact with an employee sitting at the table next to us, she assured us the food would be right out. Well over 25 minutes had passed by, no food. Keep in mind we have been watching the team members the entire time from the seats right in front of the restaurant. The two employees were moving at a glacial pace. No intent or purpose with their movement, When I approach them and spoke to them about our order. Our completed orders were mediocre prepared did not have the The spicy sauce on the tenders. When we asked for ranch, they had the nerve to tell us. We had to pay fifty cents although we had been waiting for well over twenty five minutes. It would have been a nice gesture To apologize and say hey, here is the delicious green chili ranch at no charge, please accept out apology and enjoy....none of that happend. It is an absolute shame to see one of your favorite restaurants drop the ball, it was the lack of communication and lack of effort by the employees that drove me to make this post. Leadership should let these entry level. Employees know that the owners have worked so hard for years to develop a reputation, All it takes is one visit like this to destroy that. I am a very fair reviewer and I visit most restaurants multiple times before I cancel them. My wife will not let me cancel this restaurant. However, the entire group needs to be made aware that such poor service and failure to follow the recipe makes for mind changing visit. When a meal costs forty five dollars at a food hall, there is a certain level of expectation that the food would be correct and the service would be better than mcdonald's. I'm going to hunt around for contact phone numbers and follow this one star review with a phone call. We will also be back this weekend to see if it was just a weekday fluke or if this is the new trend of this once great restaurant. Well, it's still great, but we can tell that if they continue on this direction, it...
Read more7/21/24 TIN CAN ALLEY LOCATION - Waited over an hour for two orders of chicken & waffles. Came out cold, no sauce. No communication about WHY it was taking so long. My wife had to go up repeatedly to try to find out what the problem was. Then it was the waffle iron wasn’t working properly and there was no one here who knew what to do about it. After requesting a refund, we were told they had no one on site authorized to process refunds. WHAT THE HELL?! This was their soft opening at Tin Can Alley. There should ALWAYS be someone working who can process refunds and troubleshoot equipment issues. The manager should be on site at all times on an opening weekend to deal with the inevitable hiccups that are going to happen. But this was beyond unacceptable. One of our party who waited for over an hour to eat and then got cold food was my 85 yo mother. We will NOT be ordering from here again. So disappointing and frustrating. Get your leadership staff here to help your cooks and counter staff because it’s them who are having to deal with problems only a...
Read moreCold beer on a Friday night A pair of jeans that fit just right And the radio on... We settled in at the Kukri for a High Noon lunch in the 505 Food Hall... The Lass ate "Chicken Tenders" meal w. nice juicy chicken just needed the sauce for flavor, the cole slaw a vinegar version w. a nice crunch. The GrandTyke had the "Mac N Cheese" which she enjoyed. The Lad had the "Kukri Sandwich" Meal w. Hot Sauce that was a spot on perfect juicy nice hot bite w. crunch slaw too. No line, yet wait time seemed long and their Steep Prices (like skiing down rough moguls) put us Seniors off. "$15 for Tenders and slaw, $15 for a Chicken Sandwich, are Big City prices. Our humble opinion, though tasty... More like a fair 10 Bob each is most worthy. It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind this l've come to know So if you agree have a drink with me Raise your glasses for a toast To a little bit of chicken...
