Located inside 505 Central Food Hall is Stackers Burger Co. After reading great things about them, I decided to give them a try. The menu has some interesting items such as the Stack Attack SmashBurger. I however chose to go with the Duke City SmashBurger and Crispy fries. Two smash burger patties, American cheese, hot hatch green chile, sauteed onions smashed into the meat, butter toasted local brioche bun. $15.95 + tax. I was met at the counter by an employee that offered no greeting, no smile, nothing. She literally just stared at me with a blank look on her face. Hi how are you, I said. Zero response. She just continued to stare at me. I went ahead and ordered. She told me the total and I paid. As I was paying, she walked off. Again, nothing was said. As I waiting for the burger, a group of 3 approached the counter to order. They were ignored, as the same employee stood opposite the counter of them, trying to open a box for several minutes, with no acknowledgment of the customers. Eventually the group walked off and ordered from the stand next door, Tino's Tacos. The burger was ready!! It looked absolutely delicious! See the attached photos. However, it looked better than it tasted. It wasn't bad tasting by any means. It was fresh made, hot and juicy. But not much flavor. The Chile was very mild and bland. The patties were cooked perfect but did not have much flavor. It had all the makings of a great burger, minus the great burger taste. Overall, I'd still give it a 4 out of 5 stars. They clearly know how to make a good burger. It must have just been an off day. No, I did not forget about the fries. The fries were the soggiest crispy fries I've ever seen. Flavor was okay I'd give them a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I did not take points off for the poor customer service. I was here to try the food. I can't recommend the place yet. I will be back to try it again and to update the review.

Updated (and updated again) review. Update 2: Do you like casinos? If so, this is your place to put bets on red or black. Because 50% it's alright, and the other 50% it isn't that great. 23 minutes from order to text that it's ready...this was when the location wasn't busy. Fries were cool, but better than cold McD fries; staff was robotic, offered no condiments for fries (had to go back and ask). Bun so stale it snapped upon pick-up...now an open-faced burger. My delivery order last week completely messed up (one item was a complete no-show, and the loaded tots showed up bare and looked like Matt Damon brought them from the set of The Martian...bare and nothing. I think I'm finally throwing in the towel on this place unless I'm stuck in downtown and this is the only burger. Update 1: I've been back twice since the first time, which was disappointing. However, since that time, I've had two very good smash burgers and exceptional service. Burgers were messy, but delicious these past two times. Also, the fries were great. The wait was not long at all compared to the first time. It isn't In-and-Out prices (expect to pay $20 person), but it is good if you want a tasty smash burger downtown. The whole venue (505 Food Hall) always starts closing an hour before posted closing, so keep that in mind. I'd recommend it if you're downtown.

Seen and add on Facebook and it looked interesting and a Good different burger; was not disappointed at all with the burgers but fries where not so good. Now Customer service it’s very bad; they don’t take the time to explain their product and the way they talk to you it’s kind of rude; after getting our food and drink my wife went and ask for salt and they told her they just don’t have salt; thinking that since she didn’t make the order maybe she was not recognized as a customer being in a place where other businesses operate I went and ask for the Salt and right of the back the cashier in a very rude manner told me: we already told your wife we don’t have Salt (which I don’t believe) I went there to try a Good Burger and a little thing like that changed my perspective, had to ask for Salt at Tino’s Tacos which they help without being their customers.
