Mandarin no longer serves up the delicious meals of long ago! If you go after 1pm lucky you --- Welcome to reheated leftovers, with an attempt to disguise old shrimp (stinks baaad!) And equally nasty tasting chicken no spices, no vegetables other than some old, foul smelling, tasting cabbage! Geezz it was awful. The fried rice, I'm guessing may have been fried, couldn't tell; no spices and no vegetables!! Even the egg rolls are kinda - empty!! The green chilie egg rolls only have green chilie & onions, so if you're expecting vegetables --- forgetaboutit!! For 1 (1) dish $30 is a bit much. Mandarin [Achoo], the cook not doing anyone any favors. And this loyal customer and my entire brood, will go elsewhere for delicious CF.

My husband and I came here because of a recommendation we saw on Facebook and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing and it was not greasy at all. The husband and wife that run the place were super sweet and they've been running this business for 47 years. We got the crab rangoon, green chili egg rolls, the cashew chicken barbecue spare ribs combination platter, and the Mandarin beef sweet and sour chicken combination platter. We will definitely be back.

Mandarin is your local Chinese food spot. Want to dine family style? Go for it. Want a combo plate of your own because you hate sharing? Easy. The food was a touch bland for my tastes, but a little soy / hot sauce and it picks right up. The environment is great and nicely styled, but the location leaves a bit to be desired (not that I've ever had a problem here). The servers are all super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu.

I ordered take out and used grubhub delivery service. I was not impressed at all with the food. The Moo-goo Gai Pan was the worst I've ever eaten, it was tasteless and not the usual veges. The Chicken ChowMein looked old and overcooked and a very small portion as was the Sweet & Sour Chicken. It was poorly presented without the usual pineapple, bell peppers, and onions. Just 4 pieces of deep fried chicken with a reddish sticky sauce. The Pot Stickers must have been quickly made as they were flat blobs of dough with barely any meat centers, and the dipping sauce tasted like soy sauce sweetened with lots of sugar. Every thing was horrible. Don't order take-out 45-30 minutes before closing, because the cooks don't care! Almost forgot about the fried rice, yuk! All they did was take white rice and poured a lot of soy sauce on it. What the h___? ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ฆ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘ŽHow awful, just awful. What a waste of money. I should ask for my money back. Ended up giving the majority of it to our three dogs. BOO ๐Ÿคฎ on Mandarin...

Giving the benefit of the doubt on service and atmosphere, as our food was ordered delivery. For the exorbitant price of the meals, the food is fully cooked, but disappointingly bland, and unappealing. There was a lot of rice, and celery, but basically nothing of substance past those. There were more chunks of semi-cooked celery in our dishes than there were pieces of anything else, including the meat portions. The chicken in our meal had multiple large tendons, and was honestly less meat than fat/tendons. The Egg Drop Soup tasted like thick egg water, and seemed to be missing key ingredients like sesame oil, and some sort of flavored broth base. The only really tasty part of our meals were the smoothies, and for the price of them, they're small compared to other equally tasty smoothie joints.

Overall Experience: Expensive & Bland.

I'd sooner eat at almost any other Chinese place in Albuquerque after how much of an expensive let-down this was, and we didn't even order a meal for...

Please do not order from this restaurant. Unfortunately the food was disgusting and put an awful taste in our mouths for dinner. Egg drop soup tasted like dirty water. I was really looking forward to it too. Orange chicken was the worst because the sauce was watery and chicken had hard gross pieces in it. We threw it away after a few bites. Egg rolls looked fat, plumpy and delicious but after eating... It just had a bad aftertaste. Maybe it was the pudding like sweet sour sauce that threw it off. Sweet n sour sauce was like a weird cold jello consistency which was sad. The beef broccoli...beef was good but broccoli had this awful rubbery taste and lastly, Lo mein noodles I'll give at least a 6/10 because they were okay but just disappointed in the whole thing. First and last time...
