"I ordered 2 hashbrowns and 2 sausage McMuffins this morning through the drive through. They made me wait for the hash browns. They said they weren't ready yet. I didn't mind, because the idea of hot food (for once) was appealing. The woman handed me the bag and sent me on my way. When I got home, there was only one hashbrown in the bag, not the two I had ordered!
The hashbrown was underdone on the inside and dark brown on the outside - not cooked properly at all. In addition, the sandwiches were stone cold and DRY. Just meat, stale hard bread, and cold cheese that had been slightly melted around the edges and then allowed to cool again.
I tried to call them several times, and it was a fast busy, as if someone had taken the phone off the hook, so I tried to call my bank. After waiting 10 minutes on the phone for my bank, they told me the item wouldn't post for 5 days and that I would have to call back at that time. So, I tried to call the restaurant again. Finally, they picked up, I told them the issue, and I was transferred to the woman who "handled my order." She lied and said that she remembered the order and that I had only asked for ONE. I told her I had the receipt right in front of me, and that it confirms that I ordered and paid for two. She said I would have to get back in my car and go back to the restaurant and they would give me my money back. When I told her I was busy and couldn't come back, she refused to credit me without having my credit card in her hand.
They require me to get back in my car and drive back over there for $1.67. It was ludicrous, but I just don't have the time (or the gasoline in my car!) I go to drive throughs because I am pressed for time and I am also disabled and in chronic pain. Getting in and out of the car on my "bad" days is more than I can bear.
I used to go to McDonalds because they had a dollar menu, but they don't even have that any more. All of their prices have gone up. Hash browns went from $1.00 to $1.67 Frankly, the fact that McDonalds had a dollar menu was the only reason I ever went there. Typically, I would be left with very few dollars at the end of the month, but I was hungry and unable to cook, so I would go to McDonald's and get something affordable - that is becoming much less true than in prior years when they still had the dollar menu.
The reason why most people go through drive-throughs is that they are pressed for time. Given this is the case, we don't have extra time to devote to driving BACK to the restaurant when the restaurant 'shorts' our order.
Customers need to be able to trust that what they have ordered is in the bag - without having to search through the bag in a poorly-lit car while other people are behind you, waiting to conduct their own business at that window, and the press of TIME.
To be honest, I have ALWAYS had problems at this McDonalds. Sometimes I have been forced to use it because it is the only one near my house and I live in an area where the choices for drive-through food are limited - but I will never go there again.
It is always SOMETHING with that McDonalds' location, which is the closest in my neighborhood where I have lived the last 16 years. A couple weeks ago, I ordered a "Big Mac" that was cold and dry. They'd omitted the sauce and toppings. Once, I ordered cookies that they heated up in a Styrofoam container. The Styrofoam had melted through all the cookies and stuck together. It was like an art installation. Everyone with any cooking knowledge AT ALL knows that you don't put Styrofoam in the microwave! You could actually KILL someone with Styrofoam melted into your food. The Styrofoam was literally melted into the food and everything was melded together.
BOTTOM LINE - There is something fundamentally wrong with this location. Even in an environment where the standards are fairly low, this McDonalds...
Read moreThe manager Andrea had the most appalling customer service I have ever dealt with in my 7 years as a Google Maps Reviewer and 17 years working is resturarants and management. I ordered two biscuits and two coffees on the app and for some reason it didnt go through. She decided to dismiss my concerns and take other customers while I was speaking/ordering and talking over me. She was disrespectful, rude and seemed completely unfazed when I told her I would be reporting her. Which I did. She boasted that shes been working here for 7 years. Well Ive been a restuarant critic with thousands of viewers for 8 years. A professional manager and chef for 6 years and have worked in the industry for 17 years at the age of 33. This is an important customer service lesson for Andrea. Be careful who you pick a fight with. Now she has a bad review attached to her name and position over an $8.69 order. A report to the BBB and a report sent to her franchise supervisor.
If she took five minutes to listen instead of speak over a paying customer that lives in the area, she would have learned that I had legitimate concerns about the refund as I was ordering on behalf of my grandfather who is a disabled veteran at 84 years old and on a fixed income. She basically told me to "get back in line and order again" when I tried to explain the issue of the refund taking away the ability to do just that. I ended up having to schlep to another McDonald's and order the food again (at full price because I couldn't get my app discounts) with my own money. Its not a lot of money but for someone like my grandpa every cent counts. And she was just so callous and cold and mean spirited. I cant emphasize enough how disappointed I am. The woman at the corporate office was very nice and thorough so I will not be reporting the McDonalds itself to the BBB. But unfortunatel6 my one star review remains for the third year in a row.
I highly recommend you not go to this location. Also as highlighted in previous reviews this is a very dangerous location where the manager Andrea has repeatedly dismissed concerns from residents, patrons and other business owners and the police calling attention to the homeless problem. They basically do nothing about the vagrant who surround cars at the drive through. They have a reputation of allowing homeless people to approach people at the drive thru. Due to the managers dismissive and "untouchable" attitude I am also considering a petition for APD to send them a warning and call to action on this separate issue. Its way past time.
Personally I think no one should eat here and it would be in corporates and my communities best interest to shut down this location or find a more hands on, serious and competent manager.
Is the franchise bad in and of itself? Absolutely not. In fact the closest location further north on coors is spotless and safe and I highly recommend taking your business...
Read moreTerrible terrible the drive through attendant Angél was his name was rude impatient and threatening. We arrive with our children trying to order and we ask him to give us a minute knowing children are indecisive so we sit trying to figure out exactly what to get and he continuously asking to make our order so we ask for his name stating for us to go to the window tell us to our face can u believe the respect for customers. So we drive to the window and he is now on the phone claiming he is calling the cops and we r threatening him and manager standing next to him mind you says nothing sorry ass ppl that work there excuse my language but how rude that we ask for his name he of course does t want to cooperate nd says he's going to call the police if we r not ordering to leave so yea we did who wants to buy somewhere with aweful customer service like that . Funny thing is this guy actually thought he was doing his job. What drive through attendant leave his work station to run outside to get license late number lmao idiot workers there I have Mexican in me but the idiot need to educate himself on customer service and satisfaction or put him in the back where he can't be heard or seen and put someone with a smile and willing to help smile and be patient. Funny while he was calling the cops little did know that he was dealing with law enforcement. Not myself but who he was communicating with. Just so rude I will not spend my money there any time and with just the little reviews on here shows me how poorly they operate if I were the store manager I would now allow ppl to give a bad name and or experience to my customers your there to serve the customer remember you serve a purpose to McDonald n nothing else. Do your job fool don't let your job do you! Hope the fool read this "ANGÉL" probably lied about his name.... Sorry sorry employees in my opinion imagine how many others...
