Lapis Room Art Gallery + Gift Shop — Attraction in Albuquerque

Laura the director claims to love music and art but tries as hard as she can to police who can play music in the plaza or even near the gallery. Her and Pete Kassettas ( disgraced former police chief and now plaza property manager ) literally trespassed me and other street performers from the plaza. They just aren't what they like to appear online to be. Most of the tenants and ppl who work around them have had negative things to say about them. Under their breath however at fear of being discriminated against it would seem. They seem like the old guard of the place who likes to feel in control. This trespass came after I was hired by multiple businesses in the plaza to play music. They literally forced everyone who is a tenant of the plaza to cancel my gigs because I talked to ppl who asked why I was trespassed from the plaza what happened. Straight lunacy coming from ppl posed as progressives who pay to have art exhibited in the square. I travel the country playing music. I am educated and have an apartment in the area. My wife is a travel nurse. Yet they insist that we be treated like bums. Just generally bad vibes from those trying to...

I had such a great time at this art gallery. The curators and staff were incredibly friendly and engaging, making the whole experience feel welcoming and interesting. They were genuinely excited to talk about the different pieces, offering insights into the artists and their work, which made it easy to get drawn into meaningful conversations.

The variety of art styles was impressive. I especially liked that Grand theft auto video game style picture. Whether it was bold contemporary pieces or more traditional works, every corner had something unique to admire. It felt like a space where creativity was alive and constantly evolving.

I've always wanted to walk through an art gallery with a glass of wine and soak in the atmosphere, feeling a little sophisticated in the process. If you're into art and good conversation, I highly recommend...

Lapis Room is an amazing new imagining of the art gallery for a new generation! I love the eclectic mix of work from large paintings to gift-able items and from contemporary to figurative and even sculptural works.
