Should get one start but its hard for me to give bad review, but was so disappointed we had too. First, we put our name down to be seated. The 25 minutes was past due from the expected time so we went in to see. Hostess insisted she texted us, and decided to have a childish back and forth with "yes I did". So we showed her our phone. NOT just a " I apologize for the mix up we have a table for you now". We got "go sit them."The other Hostess was polite and did the how are you doing and is it a special occasion as normal. (We visit frequently, 3x monthly.) We replied its my wifes birthday. She walked us to a table that I could only fit if I faced the wall (I am in a wheelchair). So I asked if We could move 3 tables over that was empty. Was told no we dont have a waiter for that table. So was forced to sit where she wanted us. Its10 steps away?. Then we ordered the new alligator app hot honey. Asked for Tabasco when it hit the table. First the appetizer was small tiny pieces of fried breading minus the alligator, felt ripped off. After we were completely done he brings the Tabasco with I am sorry. Blew it off again. As he removes the app plates he drops the sticky fork with hot honey on to my shirt and lap, ask "are you okay" I said yes blew if off, again. Ordered our favorite Salmon Alexander when the sea bass or halibut is not in season. Dirty rice was cold and had dry old chunks of hamburger meat and I mean chunks. (Lazy) Fish was raw not the medium preparation as usually. We the waiter decided to come check in us we told him about the rice not the fish. He said he would get new rice. We know its the same rice and said we would just warm it at home, and no thanks, didnt want to do the whole talk to managers thing. Then a random waitress brought is boxes we didnt ask for as our waiter disappeared for a long period and we were just sitting there, so she obviously noticed we were ready to go and not happy. Finally our waiter appeared and asked if we needed anything else we said no he left again and came back with the check and stood there like at military attention while I was counting my money, uncomfortable. He never asked if it was a special occasion which it was her birthday as mentioned. The table next to us got cheese cake and candles. We got our check. Paid cash. Balance would of been $29 after bill. He said he would be back with change I said okay. Didn't feel I should give a 30%+ tip, nor was it earned. He leaves with it and comes back and says are you leaving me the remainder, I already told him to bring back my change. So I told he him again I need my change. At that time I was beyond upset and left him a $8 tip and felt bad about it because I am a giver. But this has been the 3rd time stright we have had a bad experience in short period of time, and we always tip good while we deal with the lazy preparation of food and bad service. We are getting tired of saying that its our favorite restaurant when you keep disappointing us. We sat there for her birthday dinner discussing what is going to be our new favorite restaurant. Not the conversation we should of thought of to discuss at your establishment. Are you ever going to be back to a respectable place to visit. I hope so. Your customers like us that go 3-4 monthly notice the difference. Need...

Very scrumy yummy place, waited 2 1/2 hours for table because I didn’t have a reservation, but it was WORTH IT 100/10%! I can’t really remember what I ordered fish. I think that’s what it was but it was AMAZING 100/10%! Walked in and hosts were standing in perfect triangle, I know this because I own a Pappadeaux’s! The very physically attractive host were very attentive and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. I know this because I own a Pappadeaux’s I think this location hires based on looks, I know this because I own a Pappadeaux’s, The one scary experience was I saw a server blocking the bathroom entrance.i don’t recall the name, not attractive and large rude personality. I needed to use the potty. I know this because I own a Pappadeaux’s. The music that they were playing was not very jazz or size. I didn’t have a good time in there when it came to the music. The food was scrum yummy I know this because I own a pappadeauxs! We’re actually a seafood distributing company! Is your Manchengo potato purée potatoes? Or from a box? I still ate it. I started at the bar, then sat myself at a booth. They were very accommodating of my selfishness :((. I believe the bar drinks were over poured was boozy after six, No one drink I kept on drinking, At my papadeaux, this would ever happen!!!! Anyways, Case scenario, I had a very good time. The food was very good. I had a great time it just some bits and pieces I would’ve changed to accommodate my Pappadeaux’s standards, but it’s OK. Every location is different here. But the front of house were very attractive. It just was a little bit weird I feel like this place is based on looks. They were all in skimpy tight dresses in the house. Men were wearing tight button up shirts. I’m not too sure what standard that is it’s a little kinky for upscale restaurant some even of the house had their bowties off to the side. What does that even mean? I waited in the parking lot until they got off work Just to ask what they’re worth ethic is and standard because I wanna know I want that at my Pappadeaux‘s.THANKS! Eat...

Tasty food! Lovely atmosphere. Courteous though not expert staff.

Went for lunch (which I recommend -- avoid the high prices of dinner, get the same menu items, portions are fairly large) with a colleague. The atmosphere is really quite nice -- large, spacious interior with quaint but but decor.

I ordered the gumbo w/poboy combo. The poboy was massive!! Delicious! I wish the waiter would have mentioned the sauces on it. I tend to be really picky about sauces and if he would have simply asked, I would have had them on the side. Thankfully I liked these, though the kitchen went a little heavy and the sauces were gushing out of the poboy at the end. The gumbo -- no!! It's not bad and I get that they're making a gumbo that can be served to people of all palates. But...the gumbo was bland!! No spice, not even mild. They should put even a small amount of spice. Not everyone should love gumbo if to get there you have to change what it is. Plenty of gumbos have a bit of spice but not even close to being overbearing.

Dessert was nice! I ordered a slice of the sweet potatoes pecan pie. It comes with ice cream and berries. It was very tasty! However, the waiter only brought two spoons -- one for my dessert and one for my colleague to eat his dessert. How do you get a piece of the pie slice onto a spoon when the pie slides around the plate and you have nothing to push it onto the spoon from the other side with? Really frustrating. The kid was a decent waiter but...he needed to speak up more (he mumbled), replace my drink without me having to ask, and think about things like two utensils per person whenever it's food on a plate.

I would go again! I enjoyed it. I was sooooo full.

For two people with lunch entrees, both with a $5.95 add-on (Caesar salad for me and a cup of gumbo for my colleague), one drink, and two desserts, it was $72 pre-tip. So we got out...

Update: I don’t know if the back has had a turnover in cooks or chefs, but the past couple of times, has not been great. Seafood has been undercooked, service staff played houdini. After we were sat at our table, we waited for a solid 15 minutes, and decided to find any server that would at least bring us some water. Finally our server comes up, looking disheveled. This most recent time, they forgot how to properly cook the steaks. One was extremely overcooked, like leather, and the second one, they desecrated the meat and butterflied the steak (medium rare and medium temp requested). The server said this was a normal practice to butterfly the steaks. I’ve been to this place more than six times, and this is the first. I was embarrassed. I just raved about the food to my guest. Butterfly is sometimes for a medium well and almost always for a well done filet but you also must inform the guest that the steak will be butterflied so it can cook evenly throughout. Butterflying a medium rare and medium steak is not and should not ever happen unless specifically requested by the guest. Maybe the server is new, but regardless misinformed. It’s just been sub par and not worth the price. The pappadeaux platter had a hefty portion but for the price point, it lacked flavor. The steak was pretty good but still a little pricy for the meat quality. The calamari is expensive- but is cooked well. It is a great appetizer to try if you can splurge. It is busy on Friday nights but this does not deter the quality service. The servers have been attentive, and when needed any additional items, brought them without the sneer. For the amount of customers they serve, the place does not skip a beat. Just fyi- It can get loud in the main dining. Loud enough to wake sleeping babies.

Not quite sure why I keep giving this place a chance. I guess probably because everyone keeps telling me it's amazing and then I go and I have an awful experience. Today I went with my boyfriend. We were greeted kindly and sat rapidly. So we were off to a good start. Then the waitress came and took our drink order and brought it back in less then a minute. Again off to a great start. Then we told her we needed a minute to look over the menu. She never came back. We asked a bidder and another water to get our waitress but she never came. We waited atleast 15-20 min before we just went to the bar. Much better customer service at the bar. The bartender I believe his name was jerry or something with a j, was on top of everything. Polite, moved plates right when we were finished he was great. But the food wasn't. We ordered the seafood gumbo bowl. And there was no flavor. It tasted like tomatoes. It was awful. We also ordered the ahi tuna and jumbo crab. The ahi was seared very well but again there was no flavor. There was hardly any crusting or seasoning on it. The brown butter that is paired with it was supper salty and kinda just killed it so if I was supposed to dip it into that for flavor it was not happening. The crab was okay though. Although you don't really have to do much to cook crab. Not many ways you can mess it up. Only thing I had that I enjoyed was my drink which was the watermelon mint lemonade. Will I come back? More then likely not, unless it's for drinks. We went at around noon on a Wednesday so they weren't busy at all. So having this type of service and food doesn't quite make sense. Oh also forgot to mention the bread and butter was super delicious. Would go back for that as well
