We frequent Coldstone often, in many states. Today we stopped in for ice cream. I believe the employee making our order was new. My daughters cup of ice cream did not come to the top of the cup. While mine was being made, the employee working the register told the employee the mix she was making for me needed more ice cream. She added more ice cream, but not more toppings, so you could not taste anything except the base ice cream. When we paid, I was surprised to learn they did not give a military discount. This, in addition to the poor quality of product we received, I asked for the owners contact info. The employee would not give it to me, but said her district manager was in the store and he would come see me. A guy came to the counter who was in jeans and a random tshirt.... definitely did not look like what I would expect a district manager to be dressed in. He listed to my concern about the ice cream and said they could fix it. When I mentioned a military discount, he told me no Coldstones in NM give a discount because there are just too many military instillations in NM and they could not afford to do that. Really? 10% off is enough to break the bank? I do not believe it, and the fact that all the other stores I go to DO give it (especially in states like NC and TX that have PLENTY of instillations) shows that all the more. He told me I was entitled to my opinion, but they choose not to do it, which is fine.... but the attitude and explanation was not professional. That was pretty much the end of the conversation as he walked away and did not "fix" my ice cream as he said they would. For the price you pay for ice cream at Coldstone, I expect consistancy, a good product, and respectful...
Read moreWent there with my daughter and mother this evening. We walked in and there was a line with about 9 people in line in front of us and about 4 people sitting down at the tables. We waited about 15 minutes which wasn't to bad considering the amout of people. We ordered our ice cream and it comes out to $21... I hand the girl a $50 bill because thats all I had on me she tells me they could not break a $50 she didn't even check in her register to see if she could break it not only couldn't she break my 50 she also tells me that their credit card machine in down. So what I'm saying is I waited in line for 15 minutes spent $21 on ice cream and they rather throw the 3 ice creams away instead of breaking my $50 by giving me $$29 dollars in change. You can't tell me that they didn't have the change with all those people in there and all of them having to pay cash. But I guess it was their loss because not only did they lose the money on the ice cream they had to throw away they also lost a customer because Baskin Robins on San mateo and Comanche was able to fulfill my order and they had no problem whatsoever so ever to...
Read moreIce cream is good with plenty of toppings combinations but I have a bone to pick with this location the last time I was in. I come to the Albuquerque area for work and when I'm here for an extended time, I usually get a triple pint. I ordered my usual but the girl working behind the counter said they were out of lids for the triple pint. She offered to wrap in plastic wrap but I quickly shot that idea down. I asked if she could put it in two of the quart size containers. She said she wouldn't be able to because the store would "lose money" by doing that. My question is how in the F is the store loosing money when they don't even have lids to begin with for the size I ordered? I mean C'mon! It's a cup. I wanted something with a lid so she put it in 4 gotta have it containers. So instead of using two medium size quart containers, she used 4 of the gotta have it containers. Makes no sense to me and the customer service here sucked to a point where I will probably not be ordering from Cold Stone for while or ever. It's those little things that really tick me off and put personal bans on establishments with sub...
