Came here because I haven't had it in awhile since Las Vegas NV. When I ate the chicken is was bland, as if they put no flavor in it. I already expected garbage, you could tell it's breaded in store. I used ChatGPT to come up with a recipe on making a better version and tried that next to Canes version. The homemade GPT version was better with more flavor, same time as it would take to order and pick it up for cheaper. Want the recipe? Here you go
1 ½ pounds chicken tenders 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon dried thyme ½ teaspoon dried oregano ½ teaspoon black pepper Vegetable oil, for frying For the Cane's Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise ¼ cup ketchup ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon paprika Instructions:
Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, and black pepper. Mix well.
Take each chicken tender and coat it evenly in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Place the coated chicken tenders on a baking sheet or plate.
Once the oil has reached the desired temperature, carefully lower a few chicken tenders into the hot oil. Avoid overcrowding the fryer, as it may lower the temperature of the oil. Fry the chicken tenders for about 5-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat the frying process with the remaining chicken tenders.
While the chicken tenders are draining, prepare the Cane's Sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl. Mix until...
Read moreFirst things first. Always see people lined up to eat here. Drive thu is backed up all the time. Decided to give it a whirl today as “Chik fila” was backed up also across the street. Got in drive thu and was about ten back to the order kiosk counting both lanes. Took twenty five minutes to reach kiosk. While left lane was going about twice as fast. After ordering found they had everyone merging into one lane and nobody to help direct traffic. This is a Saturday just after 1 o’clock. More people getting inline after me. The person taking orders didn’t get my name correctly but that was ok. We got the order and went to eat it . First thing I always try is the coleslaw if it is part of a meal. It was packed tightly and looked good first bite no flavor. Second bite just as plain. Had my wife try and we put it down and didn’t touch it again. Fries were next and they are ore ida Crinkle cut type. Good color and not mushy but just Luke warm. Still edible but not great. Chicken was up next and the fingers were decent size coating was crispy and they were pretty darn hot. First taste said they are very plain also wouldn’t eat these without sauce or being on a sandwich. Over all not impressed glad I didn’t wait the two hours in line for grand opening month. Very disorganized drive thu. Not great chicken and priced a bit high. The guys across the street went through thirty cars by the time we got our food they only have one lane and use real people outside to take your order. The food all stands on its own and can be eaten without sauces. I’ve never had a cold fry there either. Gotta say won’t be back here or any other of this...
