Santa Fe Brewing Company - Tin Can Alley ABQ Taproom — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I love visiting this location to grab some of my favorite beer. 🍺 I've shown a lot of my friends Santa Fe Brewing Co. Ive been to this particular location a couple times. The beer is tasty, the atmosphere is super inviting, theres a lot places to sit and doesnt feel so crowded. And typically the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I would give it 5 stars but the experience I had with a staff member yesterday was not as great. I've worked in customer service my whole life. I get times are tough right now. But when a customer is trying to buy/order something, it's nice to be acknowledged. The young guy behind the bar made no eye contact and was looking far away at someone or something, looked bored or like he could care less about us standing there, wasn't paying attention to us while we were trying to order, he wasn't paying attention to us when we told him what we would like to order and almost gave us the wrong drink, didn't ask if we wanted to keep the tab open or closed, immediately chucked the drinks on the table and walked away. His communication and body language was very off putting. I almost didn't want to order drinks later because we felt like we were bothersome to him. Thank goodness there were 2 other people tending the bar later on last night.(And they were fantastic!) I don't usually complain, but that was incredibly rude. I'm human. Not just a...

SETUP AND ATMOSPHERE: 5 out of 5 Stars FOOD: 1 out of 5 Stars. I'm 0 for 2 in dining experiences at Tin Can Alley. I've tried both 'SA BBQ' and 'On the Flip'... both of those contracts should be terminated immediately. The BBQ was something I'd imagine an old British lady eating... cold and bland. The "OG Cheeseburger" at On the Flip was OG (Oh, God) Awful. Typically I rate burgers this bad because they're over-cooked... but this burger had an acceptable amount of pink, yet still somehow managed to taste like burnt, unseasoned Walmart meat. I have not tried the other food vendors, yet... but I have to assume they are on the same level as these two failures. In retrospect, it could be a strategic move by Santa Fe Brewing to contract with only the most appalling food vendors in order to dramatically increase their alcohol sales by people that are desperately trying to wash down that terrible, terrible food they just ate. Was served by Dakota at the bar tonight 6/24/23. I gave her my id and she said I had to have a stamp. I told her I didn’t want the ink on my skin. She told me she wouldn’t serve me without placing an ink stamp on my skin. I noticed a laminated sign on the bar top that says “must show valid ID or a stamp to be served”. I mentioned to her, “why does the sign say i can show an ID or a stamp?” I explained again that I didn’t want the ink on my skin. She then said “ do you really want to fight with me?” EXCUSE ME?! I couldn’t believe it and I was so embarrassed. My friend felt like it was all about ego for her and she just had to win. I was so upset. Owner please talk to your employee and explain what customer service looks like in 2023. Never will be back!! I should have asked for the manager right...
