The Landing w/ Pizza 9 — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Came in here because I was staying across the street without a car and my husband saw a 10% off coupon in some tourist booklet.

I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. They don't have a marked menu so I asked what could be made gluten-free. I ended up with the $15.50 lettuce wrapped green chili burger with side salad, $6 "bowl" of chicken posole.

The posole came out first and it was so small that I had to ask the waiter if it was a cup. He said it was a bowl but I'm pretty sure it's the cup size. Look at the photo for yourself.

My husband ordered the $15 tortilla-wrapped burger (it looks sort of like a nice version of a Taco Bell crunch wrap or a chimichanga that's been pressed with a grill weight.) It looked good. It came with a side salad and my husband also ordered a $6.50 Sandia watermelon cider.

I think our waiter forgot about my husband's cider so we had to flag him down to ask if he could get his drink instead of waiting for it to come out with the meal. The cider was on draft and very good.

When the side salad came out, the waiter had to bring me a new side salad because mine came out with croutons despite needing it to be gluten-free. I asked that my husband get to keep the mistake salad so that they didn't just pick off the croutons and bring it back out. It was actually a pretty generous-sized.

The green chili burger I got was pretty good. I do wish they had a gluten-free bun though.

Overall, I think this restaurant is good but labeling on the menu would be nice and service could be a bit better - writing the order down would probably prevent mistakes.

My wife and I are going home today and we were looking for a quick place to eat lunch. We decided to come over to the Landing, which was just around the corner from our hotel. It wasn’t very busy because it was after lunch. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a smiling waitress named Paris. She is very pleasant and super happy to serve us. She was a delight and they had very good recommendations. For food we ordered the green chilli stew and I just had the wings which were outstanding. My wife loved the Green chilli stew. My wife had a fabulous cocktail Negroni Orange drink, sorry I’m not sure the name of it lol. I had a couple of beers from the tap that were great. The staff here are fabulous, We had Shawn come out and introduce himself to us, which was very much appreciated. It was a pleasure talking to him and a pleasure having Paris is our waitress. We will be back here for supper tonight lol see you then. PS I had to edit this review because my wife and I had to mention the young waitress served us dinner and our drinks for supper tonight. Her name is Jordan and she was absolutely fantastic, was super happy to talk to us, since we had a whole bunch of questions for her lol. THE LANDING is a brand new bar-restaurant near I-25 and the ABQ Sunport, serving a wide variety of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and salads, plus a really big selection of domestic and local beers, craft cocktails and spirits. My wife and I dropped in for lunch, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Green Chile Cheeseburger with Side Salad, my wife ordered the Open-Faced Tortilla Burger, and we shared some spicy Chicken Wings. Everything was incredible! My 1/3-pound burger was perfectly grilled, with green chile, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. My French Fries were absolutely incredible… covered with savory spices, very crispy on the outside, yet deliciously soft on the inside – Double Wow! My wife’s smothered tortilla, also a 1/3-pound burger, was stuffed with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and green chile – she said the green chile was especially amazing. We ordered the Chicken Wings with “Traditional hot sauce”, and it was just perfect. This was a fantastic experience, and we plan to come back – even thinking about having some office parties here.
