Maxis Seafood & Oyster Bar — Restaurant in Aldine

I got a cocktail scrimp on the top they put real big scrimp big and in side on the bottom they mix it with the small crimp and looked different then the ones on top to fake is the other scrimp. To begging the service don't speak English and can't understand my friends orders or explains the manue to them I have to order food for them and translate. So I ask her how much was my food I was going to order the difference in prices from a small to a large she answered rudely is on the menu so that made me upset I told her well point at the price e if u don't want to tell me cuz I don't know were it is only see the picture I dint know the name of it she rudely point at it. Also my husband food was bot hot so he ask if they can put it on the microwave because is cold she touch the plate to see if it was true like what?? U trying to brave a point and her face she made like she didn't like that. Hot soup needs to be hot not cold or warm. Also never check on is if we were ok she just came to give us the food never to see if we need anything and when we ask for something she seemed so Irritated. Never going back again also they charge 7$ extra to pay...

The service was difficult, but the food was amazing. Our server could not speak English, which we tried really hard to work around but we had complex questions and it was a lot easier when she got other people to come help.

The atmosphere is not great. The acoustics are terrible. Less than half full dining room room and it sounded like so much chatter. We could barely hear each other at our own booth. I've never had that problem before!

The food was awesome, though!

The ceviche was divine, oysters got rave reviews, the soup was delicious! Fried rice was decent.

The corn chips are even worth mentioning for having a great flavor. The salsa wasnt as good, but not worth complaining about either!

All in all, we'll definitely be returning because in the end, good food is good food! Maybe we'll just have it...

Worse service ever. This place has no hosts that keep track of seating tables. It seemed that any waitress could serve any table they wanted. Our main waitress had trouble describing a drink but never even came back with the drinks. After 30 minutes Another waitress had to ask us if we had gotten taken care of and she took our drink order again and actually brought the drinks. Our main waitress didn't bother to bring us chips and salsa. Waited for 30 minutes for another waitress to ask if we had gotten our orders taken. Answer was no, she took our order. We waited for another 25 minutes and decided to leave. Turns out that the food wasn't even cooked yet. Thank God there is a Taqueria Arandas on the other side of Hwy59.
