Apparently they make up their rules whenever. I've been taking my niece and nephew here for years to let them pick the pastry they want. Never have I been told by anyone at this location that they can't do that. Today, I had my 8 yr old nephew help me pick the pastries that were at the bottom to put them on the tray. The security guard called out my attention if front of everyone to be loud enough. Embarrassed, definitely. I told him that I was not aware of this and that I've never been told about this rule. I really just wanted to leave everything there and go to Pan Riko instead, but seeing how my nephew got scared I went ahead and still proceeded with the sale. I asked the cashier if the rules have changed about kids not being able to use the kitchen thongs to get the bread. She answered that no, kids do it all the time. I asked if someone complained about him helping me with the trays atbthe bottom, and she asked if the security guard told me something. I said yes, and she said not to listen to him. This is embarrassing and if they decided to change the rules, this needs to be posted for the public to see. Definitely the last time I'm going to this location. I have been coming to the one on 59 for about 3yrs and the first cake they did for me was a cake they have made before and it turned out ok… I had them do several more birthday cakes and then I had them do a cake that I got from the internet which they said they could do it… they cake looked nothing like the picture but i decided to give them another chance with a cake from their book. The cake was a barbie Dreamhouse house cake and it was horrible!!! I asked for Buttercream and they gave me whipped icing and the icing was not even sweet it was very bitter and nasty!!! Not only was the cake nasty and too big they gave me the run around with a $50 deposit on another cake I canceled a few months ago.. They are very rude, they will hang up the phone if u call, its a female that takes cake orders and she is very disrespectful and she rolls her eyes and she is a liar!!! I bought 155$ cake, picked it up 11/18/18 it was 2 tier tres leches, it completely collapsed on the way home it was way to big and heavy to be 2 tier, however they said they could do it, and as cake bakers should know what is a recommended way to design a cake. This is the day of my daughters party, we take it back and they tell me it’s not guaranteed, I didnt even want the money back. All I had asked was the redesign the bottom tier which was just a ombré pink rose cake, they told me no, there’s nothing they can do free, they charged my husband if we wanted the bottom tier replaced. He paid because we were so short on time. I’m disgusted that I wasted 155 plus the 45 to redo a cake, just to walk out with a simple cake. I suggest to any of you who order an expensive cake, make them deliver and make them responsible for anything that happens on the way.
