Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Alexandria

We waited a while for our food, but they were understaffed, so I'm not factoring that into my rating.

My husband and I ordered two foot long, chili cheese coney combos and got our daughter a kids chicken strip meal.

For starters, the food was cold. We don't have a very long drive back to the house, so that rules out the food being hot when served to us.

Secondly, the screen vs. the receipt, almost looked like two different orders. The associate who took our order read it back to us, and it was clearly displayed (correctly) on the screen. Upon opening it once at home, we find that both footlongs are All-American style. We check the receipt and sure enough, it says 2 All-American footlongs.

So, instead of the hassle of driving back, we both decide to eat what was given. It was nowhere near hot, and are now, not even sure if it was thoroughly cooked. The tater tots were old and hard and had no salt, and now we're both feeling sick to our stomachs.

This food has turned me off from continuing to eat at any Sonic, much less this one. The only good take away from this "dining experience" was the staff was polite and they got our daughter's food order...

Service here is very poor…came to this location and ordered the numbers 3 & 5 combos and a kids meal at 2:30 and the order took almost forty minutes to come out. Upon receiving the order me and my wife noticed that it was entirely the wrong order as well as the lady bringing our food was coughing over the open bags she was trying to hand us. After I told her she gave us the wrong order (which was a task in and of itself because she was insistent on just giving me the receipt and telling me if I was missing anything to just hit the red button and was trying to walk off) she then proceeds to bring the order she tried to give to me that she coughed all over to the correct car and then took another 20 minutes to bring our correct order (which was clearly thrown together because they probably gave our originally made order to the wrong car; I had a garlic butter burger that like it was fully submerged in garlic butter all of our fries a s tots were burnt and my wife’s burger was clearly just thrown together and sloppily made) and directly after that and completely different waitress came trying to give us another wrong order that we didn’t...

I stopped to get a quick bite and instantly regretted it. I ordered to chicken bacon ranch wrap. Nothing else. And it took forever to get it, probably because all the staff was sitting in the chairs in the outdoor dining area drought outside the front door. They took an old chicken patty, cut it in half, and smothered it in soooo much ranch until it was dropping out of the greasy tortilla. The bacon used was hard and dried out. What I received from this location did not remotely resemble the neatly prepared, snack sized wrap consisting of a chicken tender, ranch, cheese, queso sauce and bacon crumbles I get from the Coliseum location. After one bite, I threw it in the trashcan as I exited the parking lot. I only paid $1.99 + tax, so it was not even worth the aggravation to loop back into the parking lot to request a refund. I wish I would've taken a picture before tossing it. I was just so disgusted and wanted to immediately...
