Burger King — Restaurant in Algonquin

By far the worst Burger King I’ve been to. I can’t believe how bad their service is. Manager on duty 10/14/24 is incompetent and the team was clueless. I ordered via mobile order at 5:12pm and got there at 5:35. So almost 25 minutes after. Waited 7 minutes for someone to come to the drive thru speaker even though it was only me and one other person. Told me to pull up. Get to the window and was told food was still being made. I'm like I ordered 30+ minutes ago? They said short staff I’m like ok. I pull up and there’s a couple other cars waiting from before I even got there cus like I said I didn’t have to wait in drive thru line , just for the person to speak to me. So they’d also been waiting. They continued bringing out wrong orders to people and some ppl take off as I wait another 10+ minutes. Soon I’m the only one parked. I only ordered enough food for 3 people how is it taking 45 minutes ? So I go in and ask. Lo and behold it’s not busy. They’ve got 3 people in the actual establishment also frustrated and waiting. yet there are 7 ppl in the kitchen. 7. Managers barking out questions but everyone very confused. I asked her where my food I ordered almost an hour ago and one girl just throws her hands up even though I wasn’t aggressive, then I direct my attention to the manger and she basically shoos me away telling me the churro fries take a while to cook. 45+ minutes and still no food. I just left and got my money back from customer service. I went to another location and got the same food...

I come here very now and then for a quick meal usually on my breaks at work or whenever I’m just passing the area. Food is good, fills me up and is not to pricey. It doesn’t take that long for my order to be made, area is usually clean. Most of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Sure maybe there are a few not so nice people there. But that doesn’t mean everyone is rude. A lot of the reviews say it takes awhile for them to get there food and the service is terrible. The reason why it probably took awhile is most likely they were there during a rush hour. I’ve worked fast food before, rush hour can be very fast paced and things can easily get all over the place so give these workers a break people like come on, we all humans we make mistakes every now and then. And the part we’re its terrible service? I haven’t really experienced that yet so I would not know what the other reviews mean about that. Love coming to this burger king, mainly because I grab a coffee and hash browns on my way to work. Also the staff is usually pretty friendly. But I've had the same lady the past few times i've been to this location and its the same thing every time. She speaks way too fast and is very pushy about ending orders, I can never finish my sentence. You can tell she doesn't want to be there. This past Saturday, as I pulled up to the window, and starting making small talk. One of her coworkers made a joke to me, which I found both humoring and appropriate (she yelled at him and said "You shouldn't be saying anything that doesn't relate to work. That's completely inappropriate". It made me feel very uncomfortable, and I felt bad for the other employee. She should take notes from him on customer service.
