If youâre looking for a spot with hearty sandwiches, soups, & salads- you must try McAlisterâs!
Their menu is huge. There is a plethora of options, something for every taste and palate. They have a huge variety of fresh-made sandwiches, melts, wraps, salads, soups, and Spuds.
The Spuds are absolutely enormous and easily feed two people. They donât skimp on the toppings. They also have a huge selection for the kids. Even the pickiest eater will find a favorite.
I typically order the Half & Half. I do half a Reuben (small uncharge) with Chicken Tortilla Soup. I like doing the half and half as a full size sandwich is just too big for one person. They offer numerous combinations: half salad and soup, half sandwich and soup, etc.
The Reuben is piled high with fresh and juicy corned beef and melty cheese. The perfectly-toasted rye bread is slathered with Thousand Island & Sauerkraut. They always do a great job with the sauce, always just right!
The Chicken Tortilla Soup is another favorite. It has the perfect amount of flavor with a bold kick of heat. They serve it with tortilla chips- which I like to use for dipping.
Another favorite is their Tomato Cucumber salad. Itâs a very small side, but itâs my favorite. Juicy tomatoes. Onions. Crisp Cucumber in an Italian-style âdressingâ. I usually order 2-3 of them.
As for their shareables, I have not tried them- so I cannot comment on that. Dessert wise, save the calories. I am not a fan of their dessert offerings and typically just skip it.
The portions are large and the price is very reasonable. Itâs great delivered or eaten at the restaurant. Itâs a very popular place with kids and families.
Delivery is always fast, fresh, and piping hot. Everything is packaged securely and Iâve never had them make a mistake on the order. Theyâre a solid and reliable choice in our...
Read moreGreat concept and well appointed fast casual restaurant, modern touches like the huge digital menu screens with animations and vibrant images of food items really added to the experience.
Let me first say that we loved the sandwiches. High quality ingredients and a variety of styles could keep me coming here for quite a while. I had the New Yorker sandwich which is over 1/2lb of corned beef and pastrami with Swiss and spicy brown mustard on marbled rye. Delicious. The soup was also well done (broccoli & cheese).
We did have some issues with simple things, though, that perhaps management can address to make future experiences better. Without going into excruciating details, the staff forgot some items (salad dressing, crackers for soup, etc) that should have been included in the takeout order and some containers (including a side and a soup) we're not closed properly before being put in the bag, almost resulting in a big, cheesy disaster! đ These are small procedural issues, but we saw some similar things (missing items, etc) that happened to other customers and a 3rd party delivery service while we were there.
Just that little bit of extra attention to service would go a long way as the food and ambience at McAlister's...
Read moreThis could be a great place for a salad or a baked potato but of the five times weâve ordered here four times items were missed in the order. Weâve picked up three times and had Door Dash deliver twice. Weâve had missing sauces/salad dressing, side dishes and even sandwiches! Only one time we picked up, the order was accurate but only because we checked the bag ourselves.
The salads are filling, I def do NOT recommend the Taco Salad though. Seems like Hormel Chili straight out of the can...Wendyâs Chili is far better along with many other places. I donât expect that kind of chili on a taco salad, why have a taco salad if you are going to serve what Iâm guessing would be the equivalent to soft dog food (not that Iâve ever tried dog food)!? Just not what I expected.
Anyway, this place needs to double check all orders they bag...if you pick up, make sure you always check and def avoid Door Dash because they rely on the restaurant to...
