Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Alhambra

Bri's 7th birthday loomed on the horizon, and as fate would have it, our initial party plans unraveled, leaving us in a predicament. However, in our moment of need, Shakey's emerged as our savior. A few days prior to Bri's birthday, we called the Alhambra location to set a reservation for September 24th. Fortunately they had 2:30pm available to us so we quickly booked the reservation. The Thursday before the party, I went in person to talk to Brenda, the manager, about the details, menu, and space for the party. Brenda was amazingly accommodating, patient, and understanding of our few requests. Together we created a menu that would satisfy 25 hungry family members and the times we wanted our meals to be ready for everyone. Without hesitation, Brenda assured me that everything on the day would run smoothly. I left appreciative for the support and communication to help make Sunday an amazing day. Sunday finally arrived and we were so excited that we arrived at 1:45pm for a 2:30pm party. Brenda had already reserved our table space near the corner of the restaurant, adjacent to the game room. We quickly decorated with table cloths, party favors, and balloons. Before we knew it, it was 2:30pm and both our guests, and the first round of pizza, chicken, and mojos arrived. Our guests immediately complimented both the cleanliness of the Shakey's and the overall joyous vibe and electric atmosphere. The music was finger-snappingly refreshing, the pizzas were piled with toppings, and let's not forget about the deliciously crispy chicken and mojos. Its safe to say most of what we ordered was feverishly eaten within a few minutes, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Brenda was attentive the entire time, managing both our needs and the needs of the restaurant with precision and ease. Brenda's support team was second to none. Everyone excelled and was courteous, polite, engaging, and alert. Jason, Percy, Giselle, and Jason the manager went so far above and beyond to make our day special, we were really thankful for their presence and attention to detail. Whenever we needed additional utensils or plates, or to clear space, Giselle and Percy and both Jason's were there to assist. Their 'can-do' attitudes were definitely appreciated. After what seemed like mere seconds, 4:30 quickly approached. Knowing there was another party with a reservation after us, we did the best we can to clean up and dismantle our area. I can't thank Shakey's enough for their warm welcome and graciousness. Bri's party was a hit and we look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you again to Brenda, Jason, Percy, Giselle, and Jason for making it a truly special day...

Good place to get pizza, chicken, and their super delicious Mojo Potatoes!!!! I give them a 5 star rating vs. my previous 3 star rating because they finally got the food prep right. I got the correct amount of chicken as well as the proper sizes I am supposed to receive as my purchase.

The staff are friendly, the manager is super nice and always greets me when she sees me. The restaurant is clean, the pizza chefs are always working hard, and the fun zone with the games and tickets is much more stable than before with their new way of enjoying the fun zone. At the fun zone they have a machine that looks like an ATM, that is where you get your Card to pay for the games you play, you get the card for free as long as you buy at least $10.00 or more in credits for the game. Some of the game machines no longer give tickets and when you slide the game card it loads those ticket points to that card which is great vs carrying a bunch of tickets with you or the machine not giving you all the tickets due to you. This is a much better experience for playing the games, I brought my son with me and we played some games while we waited for our food to be done. I do wish they had the old racing car games as those were fun but I do like the new games they have and my son had a lot of fun. I recommend coming here.

I came with my wife today to have some bunch of lunch, ive heard of this before but i have never had the buffet, I was trying to find information online about the pricing but found nothing so ill put what i paid here for the Alhambra Location.

So the Week Day Buffet is $12.99 per person and the cup for soda is $2.99 per person before sales tax. I feel that this is a great price as its literally all you can eat, they have such a huge variety of food from all kinds of pizzas with different toppings to salads, steam veggies which was literally my favorite, to Jell-O and some fresh cut fruit, i was amazed by all the food available to me. To me this is a great value, especially if you are going to bring your spouse for some lunch from a busy week. This was pretty much a good experience, i give this a 4 star out of 5 because the air conditioner was off and i was sweating like crazy in the spot where i was at which was by the front of the restaurant. Other than that, this visit would have been a solid 5 stars. Now that i have got to experience the bunch of lunch buffet deal, i will definitely come back and visit again...

Today April 14th i took my family in for dinner. I ordered at 5:53pm and sat down like normal. After a long time I noticed that parties that arived after us were being served. Approximately 45 minutes after ordering I asked if our order was up soon. The team member I asked said he would check. The team scrambled around looking puzzled. I asked again and was told it would be five more minutes. By this time my small children were upset seen other families that eat their meals. At roughly ten minutes later as I continued to watch the team try to figure out the situation I decided enough was enough and I walked up to requested a refund. The manager was was called to process the refund of items I did not receive. No attempt to remedy the issue or provide some type of positive customer was made. I was given a refund for items pending. I took my family to our vehicle and then walked back in to get some explanation as to the the issue. The manager said it was and issue on the system that only part of the order was appearing on the screen. This mad enough sense since one of the order had been taken to our table. At this time only after I returned did the manager make an attempt to offer me the meal i never received which i did not accept. I am truly disappointed with the way quality of service has taken a turn. My family and i have been patrons of the Alhambra location for over 40 years. I am sad to say that after this lack of customer service Shakeys may have permanently lost...
