I'm not mad, just disappointed. I recently had brunch here with several family members, to celebrate my cousin's birthday. The initial service had a mishap when we showed up on time for our reservation, and were unable to be seated due to them believing that we weren't going to show up. Weird to think that we wouldn't show up after scheduling a reservation. However we weren't going to let this deter us from enjoying the day. Our orders were taken and when it finally came time to get our food, 3 of our dishes were missing. We were told that it would be just a few moments, but it was far from the case. We waited an hour for our missing dishes and still had no food. Our server apologized and went to check on the food. We then spoke to the manager, who said that they would "figure something out" for us. What ended up happening was waiting another hour for our food and having only one of the 3 dishes comped for our trouble. I feel like they could have done better after having 3 people in a party of 7 watch their friends be able to fully enjoy their meals before ever being served.
We honestly tried our best to give this place a chance, but waiting 2 hours for a turkey sandwich is just unacceptable. I could forgive this place had the dishes arriving so late to the table all been comped, my sandwich tasted above average, or the food not been so expensive. In the end, I was just let down. Hopefully things improve and I can give this place another shot...
Read moreI am so grateful that Bread Winners is now at Watter's Creek in Allen! I live in Watter's Crossing and would normally go to Bread Winners Uptown. No need for the long drive to Dallas anymore!!! We needed a Bread Winners here in our awesome town! I have enjoyed breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner on numerous occasions. I took pics last Sunday. I have meant to takes pics before(I was too busy eating delicious food and having fun). The restaurant Itself is lovely, clean, polished, bright, airy and welcoming. The hosts are on point with genuine smiles and quick to greet and accommodate with care. The service is top notch. The staff could not be more inclusive, professional, friendly, and joyful. I have sat in Angela's, Charis's, Kristi's and Jordon's sections. I recommend all!!!!! The food is fresh, scrumptious, delectable and there is not one thing I or my friends, family or co-workers have ordered that we didn't rave about: eggs benedict, breakfast tots, chips with bleu cheese, burgers, steak and eggs, bowl with salmon, salmon bagel, migas, the scrambles, turkey club etc. The food is homemade, presented beautifully and is with love. I recely learned from Angela that all food is 100% scartch. No wonder it reminds me of my Mom's cooking! Randy and TJ (mangers) are present and so friendly! My son loves the bakery items and he is huge fan of all especially the cinnamon roll that is light, fluffy and ooey...
Read moreWas excited to try the newest location of Breadwinners, but that’s where the excitement ends. Have tried it twice. The first time, there was no heat (on a very cold morning,) however the food was okay, so we decided to give it another shot. Well folks, the other reviews don’t lie. I would heed the warnings and stay away. Went back on a Saturday morning. The place was very dirty. Food all over the place, and even some on the window sill that looked like it had been there a long while. The “famous” bread plate was dry and the breads had a strange taste. Then when ordering, we were told they had no sausage. On a Saturday morning. During breakfast. Seems to me, if you are a breakfast place (with multiple locations,) you should have your food inventory ordering down pat. AND if you are out of a staple ingredient on one of your busiest days, you either go to Restaurant Depot, one of your other locations, or even the grocery store, to get said ingredient. All of that said, we won’t be back. I really think this particular building is cursed, because nothing seems to last...
