On 07-05-24 at 7pm. My family and I decided to eat dinner at Lupe Tortilla in Allen, TX. We have been dining at this location since opening day and have visited all locations in Texas! After Covid your Manager, Austen came to the Allen location and really improved the quality and service, Juan was great. We missed him too! Now let's address today's visit... We ordered our food. The appetizer came out late and was wrong, but hey, we understand mistakes happen. The Fajitas Trio and Kids meal came before a Queso! Manager Victor Gutierrez was very rude when he brought the food to our table. He stated our appetizer took so long because we had sent it back and walked off! When our Server Kellsie came to check on us, I asked her if their was another manager we could speak to about the rude comment left by Victor. Victor was standing nearby and came to our table. We ALL asked if we could speak to the another manager on Duty. Victor started pointing his finger at me while we were all sitting down telling me no, I needed to listen to him. I was explaining to him how his previous comment about the appetizer left us feeling Victor said NO YOU LISTEN TO ME and would not let me speak. I stood up at this point and said, "Give me my bill so we can pay and leave." Victor Gutierrez kept telling me to hit him. I kept saying I wanted my receipt. He kept demanding, I hit him. After he demanded, I hit him for the 3rd time he demanded I leave or was calling to the cops I told him to call the cops. Approximately 6 Male employees of Lupe Tortilla joined Mr Victor Gutierrez in an attempt to intimidate or scare us and I was pushed in the back by at least 2 of your employees it may have been a body touch but a customer should never feel threaten or assaulted with their family’s when trying to enjoy a family meal. I reiterated to his friends or employees that I only want a receipt and to leave. Mr Gutierrez repeatedly told me to put my hands on him and keep telling me to put my hands on him. Mr Victor Gutierrez I only come to Lupe Tortilla to put hands on the food. I don’t know if VIOLENCE is how you're trained to handle a family with a 9 year old child trying to eat complaint but job well done sir! Your actions have embarrassed myself my family and Lupe Tortilla Brand. Vitor Gutiezzer, you were never threatened, abused or intimidated the fact that customer asked to speak to the other manger set you off like this tells me you are 100% using Drugs! Lupe Tortilla please do better than this.... I forgot to mention my daughter was recording the entire event! I wathed the video several times before writing this and still can't believe he was so unprofessional, disrespectful and trying to start violence for someone asking for a receipt.... Kellsie we're so sorry we were not able to leave you a tip because of Mr Gutierrez actions. Lupe Tortilla I have always recommended your restaurant as my favorite place to eat I know all the manager because we eat so often. I'm sorry we have to end our relationship because of Mr...
Read moreCame in this Sunday Afternoon for late lunch, I have been going here for years in many of the Texas locations but was highly disappointed with this specific one.
First off, when I called in to see if I could put my name down , I was directed by the hostess to check the website and place my name down. When checking , there was no wait time, so I assumed we would be able to be seated right away. When walking in the restaurant , I was told there was going to be a 10-15 minute wait, which was understandable since it is a Sunday afternoon—Just wish website could have been updated as well.
When seated , we were greeted by Bryan our server, which we immediately took our drink and food orders with. Iced coffee honestly tasted terrible, and very sweet/watered down sadly, but wasn’t able to get mine replaced because our waiter was nowhere to be found, and solely came by to just drop off orders; giving me no time to ask for a replacement.
We ordered Chorizo queso flameado as our appetizer, and Filet Mignon fajitas as our entree.
The flameado came out within 10 minutes , but was doused in oil. Tried eating it, but oil was just dripping everywhere, and ended up just all on the napkins used for the utensils. I do not recommend it at all—Unless you want to be leaving with oily and slimy hands.
The fajitas took about 40 minutes to come out. Our server would just pass us very quickly, again giving us no time to ask for any updates on where our food was.
When our food arrived , our Filet came out almost all well, when we had asked for it to be medium rare. We honestly were just so fed up at this point that we just wanted to leave and get out of there.
We spent about $100 for two people, and it definitely was not worth it—The service and food was just so disappointing.
I still love Lupe Tortilla, I just don’t recommend going to...

They finally unlocked the doors about 10 after but didn't say anything, knowing I was standing there waiting to come in. I made my way in, the host greeted me, I greeted back, but that was it. He stood there chomping on his gum and making sure his stack of menus were as close to square as possible. I told him it's just for one, and he said, oh ok, fumbled for a menu walked my way, almost running into me and said this way. He wasn't very professional about this interaction. None the less, I was seated, and it took about 5 minutes or so for the waiter to come over, bringing chips and salsa. By this time, I was on the phone with work. He didn't interrupt, which I was grateful for. He kept an eye out to see when I got off the phone to take my drink order. Placed my drink order and a regular queso. He came back a few mins later, and I asked about beef fajita enchilada plate since I didn't see them in the menu. He said they don't have them as a plate but would go ask if they can do a plate. He came back and said yes, we can do that, but it will be an upcharge since going to fajita beef. Ok, cool, let's do it. I do not know what passes for beef fajita at this restaurant, but what I got brought was not beef fajita. It was some weird sauce coated beef pieces wrapped up to be enchiladas. I was in Dallas and thought maybe this is what passes for beef fajita at a Mexican restaurant. I ate it, wasn't impressed at all, no real flavor. This meal was not worth the $42 (pre-tip) I paid. The one upside is the waiter, he was very nice and attentive. That being said, I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone I know living in the Dallas...
