Shiva’s Indian Restaurant is my absolute favorite spot in North Dallas! Their Butter Masala is incredible — both the chicken and veggie versions are packed with rich flavors. The Coconut Chicken is also fantastic. The first time I tried their Butter Chicken, I honestly felt like I was in heaven! Their fresh, hot naan breads are amazing, especially the garlic naan. My personal favorite is the Butter Masala paired with garlic naan.

I even celebrated my birthday there, and it was wonderful! The only thing to note is that the restaurant was a little cold inside — but that’s totally understandable because it was busy and they needed to keep the place cool. If you’re sensitive to cold, I’d recommend bringing an extra layer just in case.

As an Iranian who sometimes gets tired of the same old dishes, I can say Shiva’s is such a refreshing change! They offer so many options — from curry-style dishes to grilled kabob-style plates — so there’s something for everyone. It feels a bit like a more flavorful twist on Persian food, perfect for when you want something familiar yet exciting and full of bold flavors.

Last time, I visited with my vegetarian friend. We ordered the Mushroom Soup, Coconut Chicken, and Veggie Butter Masala — and she absolutely loved it! I had a bit of a cold that day, and the warm, comforting soup really hit the spot and made me feel so much better.

Absolutely Amazing Indian Food!

If you’re in the mood to get your tastebuds dancing, this place is a MUST try!

The flavors are FANTASTIC!!!!! The menu is vast (you absolutely can’t go wrong) we had spoken to the servers and they have tried all the dishes and can guide you if you need a little help. The spice levels are also adjustable.

The quantity of the food is enough to share and I recommend family style so you can try the various dishes. They also have an array of breads (naan and roti) and of course fusion drinks!!!

The ambiance is welcoming and there is plenty of seating to accommodate large parties- so bring your family and friends!!! The service is superb and accommodating!!!

We had the samosas (veg and chicken) they were HUGE and totally not your halidram ones- lol

We also got a butter chicken that was oh so creamy and packed with flavor. We had the medium spice level which was perfect, it gave that subtle kick in the right way!

The naans were fresh and we recommend the butter naan and garlic if you’re looking for an additional touch of spice!

And the chicken Biryani was layered with masala and the chicken was fall of the bone tender.

And don’t forget the Mango Lassi! Super creamy, thick, and sweet!

This meal was delicious and memorable! We will definitely be back to try the rest...
