Johnny's Bagels & Deli — Restaurant in Allentown

Wow! The SO and I are just finishing our first breakfast/lunch. Just sandwiches and bagels, from Johnnys. From the moment I walked in I was pleased. It was clean, well lit, and self explanatory as to where to order and pick up food. You can eat in or take out. I ordered to go. I grabbed a custom specialty sandwich (was awesome) on a bagel and the beautiful wife had an everything bagel with butter Not Toasted. The well spoken clean cut college bound car enthusiast, who took my order and made our order, was working the counter and grill. Impressive. I went on a Sunday at noonish and it wasnt crowded and I found parking right out front! All in all Johnnys had it all. Sandwich’s salads wraps etc! We will be going back, probably more often then not. This location is a block from our loft. The beautiful “obnoxious motorcycle friendly” city of downtown Allentown…but, that, is a review for another day. Lol. They have a few other stores in the area. Visit johnnys, it’s great. There was a issue with something they make and it was resolved but not without some attitude bc of the pride in the place. Nothing wrong with that. I'm not a Karen n I don't act like one n not every white female complaining is one. Thank you for replacing it, but I didn't order a side of arrogant snark. I bought something with the last of the money I had and so I obviously was upset it tasted spoiled. The bagels are amazing. But I have NO idea what kind of bacon was on my egg, chs n bacon sandwich. Tasted like Styrofoam and had the texture of jerky but had a crust that was like jelly. Didn't even taste like bacon. Sorry, I'm American and I believe in Pork bacon. Please don't take an American classic and fudge it up. I'ma meat cutter by trade so don't tell me I don't know my meat. Staff is confusingly unfriendly. He refused to let me use smaller bills for less change. No music here, just silence. Also the employee who handled my food also handled cash without washing his hands. Feels a bit soulless and uncaring here.

I’m rating the food as 3 stars as the atmosphere really affected my enjoyment. The bagel was probably alright.
