Visited this restaurant chain first time last week at the Marietta location. Loved the food, atmosphere n customer service so much that when i needed a place to dine in Alpharetta yesterday, it was a no brainer, we went to the Alpharetta location. Boy was i disappointed.
We got there at 9pm n got seated n literally abandoned. The floor was sticky and there was food on the floor ard our table. Then when the staff came some 7min later, she didn't hav the menus. Turns out someone else left the menus meant for us at an empty table. We gave the order of drinks which was just lemonade for the whole party. More than 5min later n our drinks were no where insight. We peak through the kitchen n our staff is eating n chatting. (Nothing wrong with that but i believe that's why there's break times). When she finally came out, it was without the drinks n she only remembered when she saw me look at her n ran back to get it. Our starter didn't take long to get to us but it was another struggle finding the staff tending to us to get our dinner orders. Finally, we called another staff over after about 10mins to get our orders in. That took another 15+ to finally get the food which at this point i wasnt sure if the delay was for the food preparation or if we just got forgotten about again. When the food came, the kids fries where stale n hard. Asked for fresh ones n they obliged so easily which let us know they knew the fries weren't fresh. When our burgers came out, it was swapped. The medium well i asked for was given to my sister who requested welldone. No one bothered to stop by later to ask if we loved the food or doing ok as it'sthe norm. We literally had to keep begging these people to attend to us when the annoying part is, it wasn't that busy. They just seemed to not care. We contemplated leaving so many times but my son was already having a feat bc he was hungry n crying loudly. Somtimes, they either be in the kitchen eating or at another table chatting with other patreons i assume are their friends. It was very disrespectful n the worst service I've ever received at any restaurant. Only saving grace is the burgers were deliciouz. Even the molten cake we fell in love with at the Marietta location was poorly made here.
I guess the Marietta location set a bit of a high bar bc we visited at peak period and were well attended to. The chef came out of the kitchen a few time to deliver orders n the manager was constantly helping out too.
If the Alpharetta location was my first time at Chillis, i would've never gone back. Will never patronize that location again. Will not mind the drive to Marietta for...
Read moreWe went here for my daughters birthday which was the 15th of this month. The place was busy but not out of control. We got seated pretty quickly and had our drink order taken, then we sat and waited about half an hour before getting them. Once they came we ordered an appetizer, then waited another 30 minutes for it to come. Another 30 minutes go by and our waitress finally came back to take our dinner order. So we’re already here with a toddler(2) for an hour and a half without even having ordered dinner. My boyfriend ordered a beer which took about 35 minutes and him asking twice about in order to actually get. We finally get our food and then we don’t see her for another hour when we finally had got to ask for the check and split it. Which the waitress was visibly agitated about and said we can do it on the tablet(which was literally broken). She finally brought our check back after about 20 minutes. Then we never saw her again, my boyfriend had to go find someone to take our cards and pay the check(which ended up being the hostess). She started walking around trying to find someone and ended up finding our waitress. My boyfriend stood by the hostess podium and watching it play out. When the hostess brought the check to our waitress she said, “which table is this for?” She(hostess) then pointed to our table and the waitress clearly didn’t notice my boyfriend watching her. She began huffing and throwing her arms up in the arm and was visibly angry that we didn’t wait for her to come back. I’ve worked in customer service most of my life and if the place is busy, just walking by and saying “I’m so sorry everything’s taking so long we’re slammed.” Goes a long way, she never once apologized for anything, never checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. We sat in your establishment for over 3 hours Over all this was the WORST experience I’ve ever had at any chili’s, and we will...
Read moreI believe it's been about a decade since I've last been to Chili's and honestly even that seems too soon to trek back and provide them with the benefit of the doubt. Chili's has shown that they really aren't making any strides to accommodate the newly reinvigorated consumer, looking for healthy and fresh food, in a clean environment, without paying a crazy amount. But alas, Chili's happened to be the only restaurant open on a late Friday night in the area and we took our chances on perhaps getting some decent food.
The area we walked into was immediately disgusting. I'm talking about used cutlery, plates, and drinks strewn about by customers who must have come and gone hours ago. Service was non-existent and seemed to forget we were even there, I mean I was trying to do the same but c'mon, at least ask us if we'd like anything to drink. The food was inedible, the appetizers came at the same time as the entrees, and everything tasted as if the microwave was simply turned on and hoped it would be able to cook the food.
Chili's is absolutely destined to fail, I don't mean to be so crass about it, but I don't think executive management cares to implement the fixes needed to solve the core of the issue. And it shouldn't be too difficult, a little spruce up of the interior, a modest decrease in price, and a healthier assortment of fulfilling food would be just enough. Better trained employees, willing to go just a bit above and beyond would build customer loyalty and have increased queues. Happy customers begets happy customers, a little bit of additional detail can honestly go a long way, but I don't see it happening here and will be avoiding for hopefully at least...
