Before I get into the review, I must say this ▶️MAKE A RESERVATION📢!!!!!! Again let me say it for the people in the back … OpenTable, call or send a Good Year Blimp.. however you choose, just make a RESERVATION❗️
The atmosphere is lovely and this is NOT a kid friendly restaurant. It has an ambiance for a 2nd or 3rd date outing. I say this because although the atmosphere is lovely and the ambiance is amazing, if seated in the open table next to the bar section (where we were seated, it is a little loud) and the space gets busy with people constantly walking back and forth, waitresses are running helta-skelta.
WHY you Should make a reservation: 🫵🏽 My son and I arrived around 6:05pm after a basketball game day; we decided to have a mommy and son date night out. We wanted to drive to Duluth to visit another restaurant but Verizon had a network outage and my gps was not working. This was 5 minutes from our home and we had previously discussed trying it out, so we landed here.
Little did I know and the front attendant warned me that the wait was going to be 45 minutes. They seat reservations first, which is not a problem. But had I known, we probably would not have stayed.
We were eventually seated after complaining 4 times. The Front Desk Manager got us situated by 7p.m. We received our drinks about 15 minutes and appetizer at 7:40pm. Our waitress was nice but I had to look for her and another waiter helped us out. She was doing her best but she was stressed as the place begin to fill up. I watched the bartenders struggle, the waiters and waitresses constantly take the wrong food to the wrong person sitting at the bar. It was quite a people watching view. Our waitress agreed that due to the restaurant being fairly new , everyone was trying to figure things out.
We got our food around 8:00p.m. Keep in mind, I was there with an 8 year old boy and we had been out almost all day.
The Asst Mgr at the front was kind and apologized. She provided us a gift card so that we can perhaps come back when it is less busy.
FOOD: the food was ok, I think they have potentials to get better. We ordered: Chilean Sea Bass and couscous, I substituted the fries for Idaho loaded bake potatoes and be sure to order the voodoo shrimp (it has a spicy tang to it) and my son loved the kids cheese burger and fries.
PARKING: It was raining. We were lucky to find parking in the front, but we sat in a position across from the bar but able to overlook the street view of chic fil a and we saw people walking from what seems to be the back of the building.
Once they get the kinks out, I do think Connor’s will serve our little Milton well. They’re the new kids in town so, I still think the fact that the manager was quick to resolve the issue and check back up on us sold me. She knew they had dropped the ball and was willing to step up. That is amazing way to turn the table. Experienced and professional, problem solver. I’m all about giving chances and giving another shot. I will...
Read moreThis was our first visit, and it will not be our last! One of the best steak meals we have had in our area, at much lower cost than many others. But the cost and excellent value is secondary to the excellent, excellent service from our server Sabrina, and the entire serving team that truly worked seamlessly to provide an overall outstanding dining experience! As an example, a server brought out the dessert with extra forks. But we were all like, too bad that they did not bring a spoon.... becuase of the ice cream. Before those words had even been fully spoken, the server returned with spoons. Little things that you have to ask repeaedly for at some restaurants, were just thought out ahead of time. Our friends always have to ask repeatedly for Stevia sweetener and many places do not carry it or will bring out 1 or 2 packs. Our server brought out extra packs and a carafe of unsweet ice tea since 3 of us were drinking it and then came around and checked that we still had enough ice, etc. We had requested a quiet table for conversation when making the reservation online. Not only was the request honored, we were given the choice of two different areas and recommendations on which would be quieter. But the overall noise level was great throughout the restaurant, and I don't think any table would be a bad table here. The Manager Koby came over and spoke to us and we congratulated him on what an amazing team and experience he has put together. The food was excellent, from the shrimp cocktail to the best NY Strip steak we have ever tasted (and we have dined at some of the most expensive steak restaurants in the area and in other major cities where a NY strip steak was $350!). And do not skip the dessert. Our group had the upside down german chocolate cake, which everyone loved, and it was served with ice cream made in house, which was as delicious as the amazing cake. Our server graciously split the bill for our party, which is something a lot of restaurants will no longer do. Excellent, excellent overall experience. We can not recommend this restaurant...
Read moreAmbiance is nice. Service and food not so much. Definitely not 5-star. The building used to be Roman's Macaroni Grill. We watched with anticipation as they were building it out and wondered what was coming to the location. Once we saw it was Conner's we made a plan to one day visit and try it out. Took my wife there for our 34th year anniversary and was a little disappointed. The Greeters were very nice and pleasant. Sat us immediately and even allowed us to move to a spot that was better for my wife. Our server on the other hand, totally different story. She said her name was Kiki, which we assume is a nickname, because the receipt read Carolyn W, anyway she was a bit aloof and even more u attentive. She never offered, nor did she ever refill our water glasses. I requested a straw and when I reach for it she basically tossed it on the table. We had to request the bread that I assume precedes the meal. We also ordered the lobster bisque before the meal and when she finally brought the bread and soup to the table and we thanked her she never acknowledged it. Back to her later. Regarding the food. The bisque basically tasted like campbells tomato soup from a can. I tasted nor saw any lobster. My wife ordered the filet mignon, she said it was cooked to the right Wellness but it was tasteless and had no seasoning, I ordered the tenderloin and although it had more taste than her steak it still wasn't very tasteful and it came to the table lukewarm. The baked potatoes were lukewarm as well. I also ordered a side of the brussle sprouts and they were over cooked, somewhat burnt and tough. Overall the experience was much less than we anticipated. Overall I would rank the experience as a 2 and that is only because the greeters were nice and the ambiance is decent. It may be a good place for lunch but the dinner isn't really...
