I never even do things like this, so the fact that I felt compelled enough to write this review says a lot. I was discriminated against today in this restaurant. This incident was done by one of the managers at the location, by the name of Jessie. He is a brown haired, short man that works mornings. I work on the other side of Windward and can remember seeing him on another morning I came in. This morning, I come in and order a Chicken Nugget Hashbrown bowl combo meal to-go. Five minutes later, a male walks in & I listen as he orders the exact same thing as me but is a dine-in.
About 5 more minutes passes & I guess the kitchen brings up the hashbrown bowl. I watch as Jessie bags it & tells the nice, young man that took my order, to hand it to the male that walked in behind me “Joey”. I’m looking cause again, I heard when the man Joey ordered the same thing as me & gave his name. The front counter worker even looks confused & looks at me cause he knows I ordered first and was TO-GO. As a former employee with CFA, I know drive-thru gets first priority. Following would probably be mobile orders & then front counter. CFA also likes to give special priority to elderly, disabled, & mothers with children. None of this applied to the customer Joey that ordered the exact same thing as me, but got his food before mine lol. I was TO-GO and he was a dine-in, so what was the reason????
And this is not even about me having to wait on food / the amount of time. Cause as I stated, my job is on the other side of Windward and just a 3 minute drive. It’s the fact that I could tell this was done intentionally. I was looking at the orders on the computer screen behind the front counter & watched as he bagged Joey’s order, it was still in the green (AFTER MINE) and by the time my order was bagged, it was in the red. Very much would have preferred to voice all this in person, but I had to get to work!
I won’t generalize cause as I said the kid that took my order was really nice & another young lady that worked there complimented the blouse I had on. I swear I am NOT a hard customer to please, it does not take much lol. But if JESSIE is working , and you look like me, but someone that looks like Joey walks in after you….better hope he orders something completely different. Or else you’ll be just as upset as I was. Read moreI am very disappointed with Cfa. I go to the Alpharetta location most days for breakfast on my way to work and often times on my lunch break too. They have been adequate but nothing above average or below average, until today. I went through the drive through line 4pm and ordered a spicy deluxe and large fry, I use my app to redeem the spicy deluxe and pay for the fry. They swipe my card for supposedly just the fry and tell me I will have a receipt at the window. When I get to the window everything is okay, again, nothing special but nothing sub par. I get my bad and drive off. Its cfa so I trust them and dont check until I am down the road when I glanced at my receipt and noticed that I was wrung up for the wrong sandwich and paid for it when I shouldnt have. I pull over and check my bag and surprise surprise, wrong food and I paid for what I shouldnt have. People make mistakes though, I'm not upset at this point, I simply want to exchange my sandwich and get the right one. I go back and the order taker says to pull to the window so they can correct it. When I get to the window I explain and they say theyre going to refund me then ring it back up, keep in mind time is ticking, at this point I'll barely make it back to work in time. I explained that I was using the app, I had the phone out with the app up and holding it out the car, the team leader refunded my card but then swiped my card to pay for the new sandwich anyways! They hand me my food and my card explaining one receipt is the refund and one is the new charge. I said no no I was using the app. The team lead said "oh" and stood there with a blank face! By now, my fries are cold, I had to drive back using my gas, and they charged me for something I shouldnt have been charged again! To top it off, they werent courteous at all! No sorry, no my apologies, just "oh". I got annoyed and gave up as I had to return to work before I got in trouble for being late and left. They didnt do anything to make me feel like they care about me as a guest. This is a sub par cfa. 2/10 would...
Read moreThis a review for the Santa event they had this evening.
First of all, the staff here is wonderful. I just have to say that before I say anything else. They are friendly and helpful. Also, it is very nice that they hold events at this location. I hope they continue to do them, but maybe with few changes or tweaks.
We had the second Santa seating at 7:00. Do not book this time for their events. It felt extremely rushed and not enjoyable. They should maybe consider earlier times (starting at 4:30 and having a 6:00 pm seating).
They ran out of the craft (an ornament the kids could make). Several kids were disappointed. I think when you pay for this experience they should make sure they have enough for the tickets sold. Maybe give each child their craft kit at the door? This to ensure everyone gets one.
Santa was not very nice at all. He did not even say “Hi” to my kids. Just “ Sit here and put that down. Move out of the way (to me).” That was it. The entire moment right there. I would never choose to take my children to see him again. I’m so glad we saw a much nicer Santa earlier in the season.
The chickfila Santa cow was ushered through quickly and did not stop for any photos. If he is not going to stop at tables or stop for photos, then they should set-up a small photo back drop for him and park him there. Maybe on the way in? Again, several kids were disappointed.
Lastly, they should encourage everyone to do the activities before they sit down to eat. Anyone in the later seating who sat down and ate before doing them missed out.
The positives: Again, the staff is very nice. They run a great restaurant here. That’s why I cannot give them less than four stars.
