If I could give this hotel a 0 star rating I surely would. Monica the staff working on the morning of the 27th of December, 2017 was very rude and needs to brush up on Customer service. I really hope management will do something about her because she is making this hotel look bad and driving away customers. Let it be known I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions for business and never had any issues until that morning. I spent over $100 for a one night stay and when I got up the morning to get ready to leave, to my dismay and disgust there were roaches running around in the room, on the TV table and beside the fridge. My suitcase and make up purse was left open and I was very concerned that these nasty critters could hitch a ride in my bags not to mention my toiletries were in that purse exposed. I had to throw out my toothbrush and other items in my purse because I feared contamination. When I went to check out I made sure I lowered my voice because there were other people having breakfast downstairs. I quietly told the staff about the roaches found in the room and asked them for a discount. Well that didn't go very well. Monica was called and she bluntly told me no discount can be given because this is Florida and it's expected for me to experience roaches in a room I paid for. I was so shocked, that my friend told Monica that was not a good response at all and that she needs better Customer service. Monica shrugged and said where she lives just down the road also has roaches 😱😡We had to conclude that having roaches is the norm. I made sure I told her that was not acceptable with me and I refuse to come back to a hotel that doesn't care if there are roaches. I promised her a bad review would be coming and she shrugged and said they always have bad reviews so it doesn't matter. Had I known the staff was uncaring about their guests comfort I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. Next time I will definitely spend my dollars elsewhere. I am taking my complaint to corporate to make sure this doesn't happen again. I didn't stay for free, I had to pay so to get treated in that manner certainly wasn't acceptable. Be warned that if you stay at this hotel prepare for the possibility of roaches because Monica says it's okay and nothing will be...
Read moreWe booked this hotel from 5/31/19 to 6/2/19 for the pool and convenience of the location for my sons baseball tournament. When we arrived the pool was green and we were told it would be ready by the next morning. We checked into our room and there were bugs and it was dirty. The front desk was notified and nothing was done. The next morning the pool was still green and then we were told it was issues with the pump which they obviously new about prior to us checking in and lied and said it would be ready. So we decided to go to the pool at the hotel next to us where some of the other families from the team were staying. Needless to say we never made it there, myself, wife and 10 yr old son were trapped in the elevator for almost 30 minutes before the Fire dept had to get us out. The owner of the hotel, Jay Patel told the manager Monica to comp us for the night and we could stay the 2nd night or find another hotel. Well at this point the hotel across the way was sold out and my son had his baseball game within a couple hrs of the issue so we had no choice but to stay. So we were only compensated for 1 night not both. Found that out when we checked out and of course the owner was not there. I called the following day and questioned about the 2nd night, he said he would call me back which he did 5 hrs later. My wife had put a negative review on the Orbitz website and because of this he would only compensate us the 2nd night if the review was removed so I said ok since your willing to work with us I will request to have it removed. Well a week goes by and I call Jay Patel he says since it's been a week he refuses to refund our money. If your looking for a hotel do not stay here!!!! Especially when the owner is a liar and has no...
Read moreI went to Orlando because I was going to take a course in the Altamonte Spring area. After checking the hotels around, I decided on the Ramada due to its proximity to the course but also for the price, the reviews, and the photos.
I am aware that it is a moderately priced hotel, but for my budget, it was the best fit, and it included breakfast. I am very happy that I decided on the Ramada.
My room was large, spacious, very clean, the sheets were super white and spotless. There were no damp smells or noisy neighbors, and best of all was the staff's attention. Mrs. Gina was impressively kind and provided excellent service, always ensuring everything was fine in my room. Throughout my five-day stay, she was always smiling and willing to help.
Similarly, I easily became friends with Kimberly, a Nicaraguan worker who was always making sure there was bread, butter, juice, and everything for breakfast. We even chatted a bit, and she showed me how to use the waffle maker, which I didn't know how to use. She was also excellent, always with a smile and doing her best to speak English.
I am truly more than impressed. Next month, I am going to another course, and believe me, I will stay at the same Ramada. You guys are magnificent and make this hotel run so well!
Probably my only suggestion will be the cups for water, milk or juice at the breakfast, they were too small. and maybe add something else besides just bread (for toast or waffles) even if I have to pay it like ham or eggs or bacon.. That will be so amazing. I don't eat too much bread because gluten if that makes sense. But hey for the price i paid it was fair and understandable
Thank...
