Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Altamonte Springs

I have loved Dutch Bros for a long time. I used to drive 25 minutes one way to go to the Winter Park location before the Altamonte one opened which is now only a 5 minute drive. Sadly, I have had so many issues with the Altamonte location from waiting in the drive thru for 20+ minutes with only a car or 2 ahead of me multiple times to getting the wrong coffee. It seems like a lot of the people taking orders do not know the menu very well so they end up putting in the wrong thing instead of asking to be sure they are ordering the correct coffee. It’s getting frustrating buying $6+ coffee and not getting what I order even after confirming with the person taking my order. Like today, I ordered 2 Double Chocolate Iced Mochas (a secret menu item) she puts the order in then after I pay she says “ when you said double chocolate you just mean with the chocolate milk right?” To which I responded “ it’s the dark chocolate syrup and chocolate milk, the secret menu item” and she says “ okay yeah that’s usually how they make them” I thought it was correct but after getting my coffee discovered it was in fact just a regular iced mocha with the chocolate milk they normally use. I don’t understand how you can have people taking orders who don’t know the menu. One time I ordered an iced white mocha and the guy said “what is that” and I had to explain it was a mocha with white chocolate syrup even though it’s literally written on their menu as a white mocha. It’s very frustrating to repeatedly get wrong orders and pay for coffee I don’t want. And the line is always too long/ slow for me to get back in line for them to fix it. I don’t think I will be back after today…. I was excited because they are right by my place and on my way to work so I thought I would no longer have to go out of my way for my morning coffee, but unfortunately that’s not the case. I like to give businesses a few chances before I decide how to feel because everyone has off days but every-time I’ve been disappointed. I leave my house with 15-20 minutes to spare whenever I want to stop for a coffee and any time I’ve stopped at one of the competing coffee shops they get my order and get me my coffee within like 5-8 minutes, even if there’s a super long line. I am not sure what DutchBros is doing with their drive thru but it is truly not working. They have it set up with split lanes and The employees outside take your order quickly and within a reasonable time but as soon as that happens your long wait begins. I timed it today and I was sitting waiting for TWENTY FIVE minutes! I understand things happen, but this has been the case every single time I have stopped here. Also disappointing because everytime the coffee has not been even worth the wait, I’ve tried something new everytime and each time it’s very bland, totally lacking any coffee flavor and also lacking in the syrups/ flavors I ask for. The employees are very very sweet and friendly, that is the one redeeming quality. I just can’t afford to sit in a drive thru for over 20 min for not so good coffee. 10/25/2025 11:30am Arrival. Line was nuts but I was determined to get my coffee. The girl who took my order was very nice. I didn’t get any names but she had a leaf headband let’s call her girl 1. The other girl, let’s call her girl 2, working the drive through however. Was sitting there doing absolutely nothing. Girl 1 was hustling her butt off practically playing frogger between the 3 lanes taking everyone’s order while girl 2 was leaning against the menu twiddling her thumbs.

Girl 1 forgot a car and had to apologize to girl 2 who looked annoyed. Again girl 2 was doing nothing.. Girl 1 then told us to pull up behind the red car which was in front of the car that girl 2 was taking from. Makes sense because this is typical zipper merging format. Red car pulls up and girl 2 steps in front my car blocking me while taking the other cars order. I noticed that traffic started to back up because she was taking a very long time to take that cars order. So I did what any person would do and move forward so traffic and continue.

Girl 2 looked very mad at me for keeping the flow of traffic moving. Sorry??

Once I got to the window (11:35-40am ish) guess who was there? Girl 2. She gave me a straw and I asked for another and she ROLLED HER EYES… She then told her other coworker loudly that the order is THIS one not that one because THAT CAR WAS SKIPPED.
