Burger King — Restaurant in Altoona

Went through the drive thru. Seemed to be moving a little slow. When the car in front of me pulled up to the speaker they said "just a minute". After waiting for about 2 to 3 minutes I glanced at the clock. 4 minutes later they took their order. After reading all of the other reviews this seems to be the norm. Probably won't be back. Edit: I came back and waited 10 minutes for 3 cars to order. When it was my turn she said "I'll be with you in just a moment". When I finally order and pay they make me pull forward with the person that was in front of me. It's 12:56 and they're not even busy...

Update: went here today with my son for a late lunch. It was a little before 2 so lunch rush was obviously over. We went in and got in line. There were a few people ahead of us, which I found weird. I looked around and there were a couple people standing around waiting for their food, but nobody was sitting down. After a couple minutes I realized the workers were completely ignoring the people in line. Then people started leaving without ordering. After about 5 minutes we did the same. If you really want BK take the drive to Pleasant Hill. They have at least heard of...

We just stopped by the Burger King in Altoona for Whoppers and fries this 2025 Memorial Weekend, Sunday late afternoon. We tend to avoid fast food places but with a 2+ hour drive home our hunger won out. The burgers and fries were some of the best we have ever had. Our burgers were so fresh tasting including the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles, and our fries were hot and cooked to perfection. The gal at the window was so friendly, helpful and smiling the whole time, and that is rare these days. We were so happy we saw this place before we got to the golden arches our original intended destination. We definitely recommend eating here if your hungry but are needing to get on the road, and yet are hoping to get great food. This place is it! Often fast food burgers are thin, dry, tasteless, and hidden in a bun somewhere with too much condiment, and are served with cold fries. Yuck! It is one of the reasons we typically avoid fast food burger places. Not here! Thanks for the great meal...

This Burger King has recently been rebuilt. I've been there twice since then. First time i had someone pick the order up. We had a coupon that the drive through lady took but never honored. We ended up paying more than double the price. I went back in to tell them about it and they informed me they couldn't give me my money back. Well i never asked for my money back. But i did think restitution was in order. The guy informed me he could replace the order. To which i said i would still be losing on the deal. If he were to upgrade it then we'd probably be square. I didn't really like them making me feel like i was asking for more than i paid for. Call me crazy but when you make a mistake you should probably own the mistake and go out of your way to atone for it. Just watch it when you go here whether it's laziness or just incompetence on there part you might get...
