Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Altoona

She put her finger in our food and tasted it!!!! We like both KFC and Taco Bell, but this location was a disappointment. We stopped in for dinner while passing through town. I ordered a Chicken Cantina soft taco and a Chicken Cantina burrito, both with no pico or tomatoes. My wife ordered the Honey Garlic Saucy chicken nuggets from the KFC menu. That's easy enough, you would think. The orders took forever. May have had something to do with the fact that 1 person stood there doing nothing, and another was texting and did nothing food-related. I finally got mine, my wife had to wait longer. Both of my items had tomatoes and the taco had no Cantina Sauce. They were so slow, I chose to forgo another long wait and pick the tomatoes off. Then my wife's food comes out. She is about to eat and a man comes to the counter and calls over to us, "Can you bring those nuggets over here?" He looked them over closely from both sides and said "Yeah, it's ok." ??? Wait... What? He said, " I didn't make those I just wanted to make sure they are the right ones." Um... ok. Well ... who made them or where did you find them? Lol Anyway, we sat down and my wife took a bite. Immediately her face turns red, her lips turn red, her eyes water... These are hot!!! So I tasted one, yep there is no way these are Honey Garlic! No way! So I took them back to the counter. The texting girl says "Is there something wrong?" I explained that these are clearly not Honey Garlic, our mouths were on fire! She took the tray and turned around, SHE DIPPED HER FINGER IN THE SAUCE AND THEN INTO HER MOUTH!!!!!! She turned back around and said, "These are Honey Garlic but do you want something different?" Well, I do, especially now that your finger was in it! They gave us some plain nuggets. I ate my 2 items with Taco Bell hot sauce but my mouth was still burning from the small bite I tried of the others. Never go to Altoona Iowa Taco Bell! I would give a minus 10 if I could. I was giving them another chance as my previous experience had not been a good one as well and I was utilizing, A coupon that Taco Bell had sent to me to make up for my horrible previous visit. The line was all the way out to the street. I pulled in to go inside. It was a cluster.. very slow paced ann slow moving orders coming out. The girl at the cashier desk was "deer in the headlights" could not figure out how to ring up my order our print out my receipt, had to keep consulting with the manager Jen. Shrugging their shoulders when asked how long the order would take to arrive. Totally unacceptable behavior in my opionion. I made a joking comment that they did not need to print out a receipt for my 2nd item that I was paying for, as I didn't feel like I needed to go and retake my psychology class, I was just making a joke but they took it personally. Jen The manager who I actually had a prior experience that was not positive, was having a bad day. Apparently that's every day she works! Mad affect and the downward frown going on. Workers avoiding the customers constantly looking down at their phones. Maybe they need to go get a job at a cell phone place. I only live 5 minutes away from Taco Bell and when I got home my new cheddar cheese chalupa that I was looking so forward to eating was barely luke warm. Taco Bell had the worst service I could have ever received tonight. I’m usually not one to complain about restaurants or fast food but tonight it took them 5 minutes to ring in a bean an cheese burrito, within these 5 minutes I asked multiple times that it is only bean and cheese no onions and add sour cream. I get my food and go to grab things out of the bag and a taco that I didn’t even order comes out and spills all over my passengers seat. I ordered two things and a side of sour cream, I didn’t receive any sour cream, my burrito had no sour cream and had onions on it and like ALOT of onions. I also asked for mac n cheese that I didn’t receive last weekend and they are out. I understand if it’s an issue of they literally have no more but they are open for another 2 hours so why not make more? Cherry on top I call when I get home to tell them that my burrito has onions and that im beyond disappointed with the service and the taco spilled in my car and I get told “that’s on you”. My mom and I went back and got a refund, they did it immediately no questions asked as if they knew what they did and didn’t say sorry or anything for the whole issue. Then continued to talk smack as we left the store and went back out to my car. I could literally see this employee staring out of the windows talking smack right at us.
