Captain D's — Restaurant in Alvin

Last Saturday my mother visited this place drive through, an older male with the appearance of a Hindu -Pakistani individual was attending it. My apologies for utilizing an ethic group to identified a single individual, but he did not wanted to provide his name, nor his was wearing a name batch. My mother is 70 years old wanted to get clarification on one of the plates served before placing the order. The guy from the get go was abrasive, a natural abrupt person, We ignored his manners but, after he close the drive through window while my mother was still talking, left us unattended for a good 60 secs we didn't know if we should leave or wait until his perfusive display of anger came down, but my mother decided to wait he opens the drive t window again and said ' I HAVE OTHER COSTUMERS YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE" we were being respectful my mother only needed a small clarification. I did tell him: Sir your rudeness is unnecessary his response "if you don't like it FU and leave" We did. Who is this individual who feels so free, and comfortable to treat costumers this way, i ask. Anger it is highest level in a person. He has the right to be anger for what ever reasons, but take it out on costumers that just want to buy food is unacceptable and wrong. Perhaps he is the manager and this is the style to managed this location. We have visit this place before perhaps employees have being over work and under paid but never treated a costumer with such of unavailable manners. I believed he thinks he still leaving in another continent in the world. FYI: You are in Alvin TX that is USA SOIL someone please informed this poor soul so he is aware of his deficit in respecting not only costumers, but women.

My children and I LOVE Captain Ds. We arrived at the drive thru and the sweetest girl was at the checkout window. I asked her if it was possible i could see the okra because the last time it was breaded VERY lightly & not cooked all the way (still alil slimy). I was hoping that was just a "one off"....thats why I ordered it again.

She showed me my okra and asjed me to feel it to see if its fried enough. It was once again VERY lightly breaded. I asked her had the recipe chgd these past months and she said it had. I asked her if it's to late for me to switch. She gave me another option for next time 💛

A man inside (possibly the owner) comes in front of her and "basically" says shes new and doesn't know what shes talking about. He was very abrasive with me and shoved the food into the bag. I have no idea what he was saying to me because he was talking "at" me instead of talking "to" me. He overtalked me with anything i said. At one point i found myself trying to de-escalate him which is crazy.

I could tell on the girl face he was admonishing her for NO REASON! What he should instead be doing is LEARNING good customer svc from her. I hope she reads this and hears my apologies if she received admonition because it wasn't deserved. She was delightful and he was VERY unprofessional and hostile imo. Such a shame! I think he said his name was "Portion" on "Potion". I tried to catch what he said as he abruptly closed the window on me....

We don't have any locations in Houston anymore so I drove 40 minutes to the location in Alvin, TX. The fish and fries weren't fresh (heavy with grease, not crispy, and lukewarm at best). I took it back in and nicely asked the cashier if I could get fresh food. The cook immediately hollered, "She's a lie. I just cooked it 20 minutes ago so I know it's fresh. Drop it back in the grease if she wants it hot!" HUH?!?!?!?! It was already logged with grease and she wanted to put it BACK in there? Not to mention I had already touched it! All I could say was no. I'm not going to argue so that's okay. At this point the manager, a small, balding middle eastern fell, runs from the back and says, "If she wants her money back just give her the damn money and she can get the hell out of my store!" What????? I didn't even act an ass. Why all the commotion cause I asked for fresh food? Clearly they have management, food prep, and sanitary concerns that should be...
