Waffle House — Restaurant in Amarillo

Come here often with my son, we love to have breakfast for dinner every now and then. I usually don’t complain or leave a bad review unless it’s really bad. Every time we have came it’s been hit and miss with service etc. the waitress we had today was very rude and hateful. We had just been given our order and not even 5 minutes into eating gave us our ticket. She was clearing tables or putting away dishes or something and was slamming things around. Totally unacceptable. The cook served us our meal and he was very nice! Won’t be back that’s for sure! I leave tips even when we get bad service but today I did not! Rediculous! I work in the food service industry and work with the public everyday and even if I have a bad day I still put a smile on my face and treat each customer with the utmost respect! This would not be acceptable where I work and I’ve never encountered such a rude and disrespectful waitress ever! If you don’t like your job move on and find something else if you’re so miserable! I come in with my special needs son and he deserved to be treated with respect and dignity! She treated him as if he wasn’t even there or didn’t at least acknowledge him etc what a horrible disposition this lady has!! Horrible service also she was playing very loud music and I’ve never been to a Waffle House that did this....

One of the worst experiences I've ever witnessed at any Waffel House location. The waitress was sleeping at one of the tables. All the table were dirty, there was a homeless man sitting at a table. We decided to move tables because my girlfriend was cold, we moved to the other side where the homeless man was sitting then the waitress tells the man "you need to move to the other side because you have an odor and are bothering the customers." He said "what?" She said "you have an awful body odor and are bothering paying customers." He was no bother to us at all. He moved, and when the waitress came and cleaned the new table, she gave a look of disgust towards the man, and seemed as though she was seeking our approval for her actions. We decided to leave and not eat at Waffle House due to this. Keep in mind we drove 2 hours just for...

Standard Waffle House food. Cheap and filling. However, bring your own glass if you want a clean one without getting attitude from the waitress. As my family and I were finishing up dinner I happened to look at my son's water cup. It was dirty. I then looked at my own and noticed it was also gross looking. I casually let the waitress know as we went to pay the check and she said, "Well, good thing you didn't pay for that." I then told her I wasnt concerned about the price of water, just letting her know the glasses could be washed better. She ignored me, told me my total, and handed me back my quarter in change. I told her thank you and she replied with one of those customer service voiced "Have a great day." Rude and tacky. But, thankfully, I won't be seeing her or that Waffle...
