We live down the street from this Taco Bell and visit it quite frequently. Usually I would've given it a 5 star review, but from our experience this last Thursday night (07-14-16) I'm giving it a -5!! Went through the drive thru with my 7 month pregnant wife and 2 dogs packed up for our week and a half trip headed to Montana. We thought wow the staff was so friendly as soon as we were exiting drive thru, since all 3 came to window talking to us about our dogs and what kind of dog one of the individuals wanted to get, completely side tracking us from what was really going on. They purposely didn't give us our card back or receipt. Within the next hour and 15 minutes we stopped to get gas in a small town north of Amarillo, looking everywhere for our card. Which I have been working extremely hard all month at BSA to save up for this trip! I checked my bank statement app on my phone and little be hole there not only is our small charge but 2 ADDITIONAL charges from Taco Bell!! While I am on the phone now canceling my atm card, my wife calls the store and speaks with the manager for about 15 minutes. The manager wrote down our names, number, and all 3 transaction amounts and tell us that she will immediately be contacting other resources and be giving us a call back within the next day...We would've driving back right then, but with us having a 26 hour drive ahead of us it seemed out of the question! Anyway 4 DAYS passed!! And we had to call them again last night (Monday 07-18-16) to AGAIN state what had happened and the main store manager was shocked it being the FIRST time he had heard this!! How stupid can these employees be! There's so much proof it was employees doing card fraud since it was in drive thru! They have records showing the amounts as well and investigating it further since they know the individual who was on cashier and what not. But since it was 2 transactions and the manager that I spoke with Thursday night/early Friday morning never said anything makes me think it was more than one individual!! THIS IS SO EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT!!! After speaking to the second manager (main manager) for the second time last night he informed me they will be refunding us for all 3 charges and giving us 5-6 free combo meals and will be looking into this further....what a joke. When we get back into town next week we WILL be going into the store!! And someone WILL be getting...
Read moreIn the four years I've been in Amarillo I had never been to a Taco Bell nor did I have any interest too. But I always saw a long lines at the drive-thru. My main concern is the health aspect. A couple weeks ago I was watching a video on various fast food places and whether there were any healthy choices at them. As the guy talked about all the unhealthy ingredients in the Taco Bell food it started looking better and better to me. Not because it was healthy just because I hadn't had it for a long time and he was talkin about all the ingredients they use to make you crave more like MSG. Anyway, I was looking for a cheap meal the other day and decided to give Taco Bell another try. I called ahead to see if they had indoor dining which they said yes but by the time I got there they must have closed the inside because the door was locked. I didn't feel like going to the drive-through so I just postponed it till another day. A couple days ago I stopped by earlier in the evening so the in door was open. The service was good, the tables were dirty and the Crunch Wrap was delicious. I actually got one of each of the two sizes to try out. I hate half of each in the store and save the other house for lunch the next day. They were both good. Not healthy but they tasted good. The place is closed and convenient to me so I will probably stop by there again, just not too often. There are so many authentic Mexican places to go in this area like El Giro that are probably...

Basing a negative review for a fast food restaurant off of an experience with an employee doesn't seem too fair when turnover is probably so high that the rude drive-thru guy has most likely been fired from at least three other fast food restaurants between now and then, not even including this one. I made a reluctant stop for a chalupa here recently, and it was the fine experience you'd expect from Taco Bell (for whatever that's worth), so I'm bumping the rating up from one to three.
The man working the drive-thru tonight sounded like he didn't have the slightest bit of patience for us. They weren't busy or anything, he was in no rush. We were truly the only customers there at the time. On top of that, the entire order was messed up on numerous items and he did not give us straws for three drinks. We smiled and thanked him as we parted ways, and he simply closed the window on us. He didn't say goodbye or anything. I'd never dealt with a food service employee so ill-mannered.
Go through my history on here. I don't write negative reviews unless they're deserved....
