I usually try not to complain about service but this time people should know. The lible and slander laws are pretty simple if you can prove it it's not. I've had lots of problems with this pizza hut. The other night I got two pan pepperoni pizzas and two bacon cheesticks. In the past I have had hair in my food. This time I had a hair deep in the slice of pizza and it was around 3 inches long. In my cheestick I also had a hair. I have a buzz cut so it's not possible it's mine. My girlfriend was sitting next to me when I bit into the pizza and pulled a long hair out of my mouth. The manager in charge told me come down and he would remake it. When I arrived he was talking to the manager and told me on speaker they aren't remaking it and banned me from the store and the guy at the register told me if I didn't leave they would call the police. I was not being disruptive, I just asked that they remake my order. I spent almost 50 dollars that day. The manager told me I planted the hair in my food. I live two blocks from the pizza hut. Who treats a customer that way. They told me to come there and they would remake my food. One of the workers had a beard guard on and it didn't cover his beard. I love pizza hut.    Read moreTerrible all around. Ordered at 11:06 p.m. all I ordered were wings. At 11:56 I called and asked where my wings were and a man named Dave told me they were on their way. By 1 a.m. I figured I wasn't getting my wings. Called this morning amd talked someone named Trish. I asked for a manager and she didn't confirm or deny that she was one and continued to handle my issue. I tried to explained what happened and she told me that I ordered at closing time like that explained it, I asked for a manager again and she said she was a supervisor, I asked for someone higher and she said rudely, "ma'am I told you I was a supervisor." And then tells me I canceled the order, I'm frustrated and try to explain that I didn't and she continues to Interupt me and argue that I'm yelling at her. And I just keep asking to talk to someone else. That's all I was saying at the end and finally she transfers me. I'm sorry if that was stressful for her, but if you can't handle an upset customer (I started out reasonable, but she only had arguments and no intention on helping me which is why I kept asking for someone else) then don't work in food service. Also if I'm not allowed to order an hour before you close that should be a policy. "You ordered at closing time" I ordered at 11:06 and you close at 12:00. Terrible place. Trish is terrible.    Read moreLook, I know what I expect when I order a takeout pizza, and so do you. I'm leaving this review because the service at this particular location was so nice that it truly exceeded my expectations. I was greeted with a smile, handed my pizza with a friendly comment, and left feeling that much nicer than when I came in. An elderly gentleman ordered at the front counter while I was waiting (this is generally considered to be a dead tradition after the outbreak and the kids typically hate it) but he was treated with dignity and respect and, again, it warmed my heart.
This pizza I got was also criminally delicious. Jeff's Pizza can stuff it I really can't see you getting a better pie in Ames. The kitchen staff have to be commended because this was just a solid pizza by all accounts.
And they had a cute Christmas tree set up in the lobby.
It's normally enough to say 'Hey, you get what you pay for' and that's good enough for a pizza chain, but in this place, at least for me, on that Saturday night, everything came together and I've made one pizza memory I'll never forget. Thanks, Pizza...
