Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Ames

So, I returned through Drive-thru this time. No cars in line or parked in parking lot. I will not be coming back! I always, come back to favorite locations, just to see if there was an improvement.

Nothing says, "mmmm..." with a Cold s'mores cookie, nearing in at 4$!! I don't know if this is laziness or pettiness but I only ever express experience. If I wanted a cold cookie, I could go to the grocery store and buy a box for 4$.

What a waste of money!!

This place has been a gold nugget into my morning runs into town. Been coming here for more than two years.

So, when I entered with no Smile and just a glace. I said, I had to use the ladies room. I came out got another glace, no good morning or smile. Got ignored. I continued to wait. NOTHING! Drive-thru had 3 to four cars. After ward no apologies nor quick response to help! I have been sitting here for 50 mins! Still nothing! But I watch as everyone is getting served!

VERY NOT HAPPY! There is no need for that behavior. I always kept it quiet and clean, and always clean up after myself!

I normally don’t stop anywhere before church because I’m scared someone will be rude and then I’ll be in a bad mood. Thankfully that didn’t happen this morning. I decided to stop at scooters to get a vertigo smoothie. It was delicious as always. But the girl in the drive-through really stood out to me. She went beyond just a casual hello can I have your debit card and she actually had a conversation with me. I appreciated that so much because it’s never ever happened to me. Someone who slow down at work to have a actual conversation and I’d love that. I now stop at scooters almost every other morning to order the same thing and this just added something to that. I was extremely pleased with my experience here😊 I was also super impressed with the camaraderie between staff members! The team was clearly busy with drive through orders but still took the time to help my diabetic father find a Christmas themed drink that was safe for him. While waiting for our drinks, I overheard the staff congratulating each other on jobs well done and giving polite assistance with getting window times down a little lower. I wound up making a second purchase just to ensure the team was properly tipped. Even when I forgot my muffin, a kind young lady ran out to our vehicle just to make sure we got it.
