Taco John's — Restaurant in Ames

I am beyond pissed and furious. I was just at Taco John’s tonight with my father. The door showed us the hours and it said 8 am - 11 PM for hours. We ordered food for dine in and we were enjoying our supper. We were there at 9:30 so we knew we had time to eat. We had two guys one of them was name Bret who took our order and they were nice but then those guys changed shifts to a lady and another guy. They rudely kicked my dad and I out of their lobby at 10 pm, when the DOOR said 11 pm for lobby hours. They didn’t give us time to grab our stuff or anything they just said guys we are closed and you need to leave. The lady didn’t give us a chance and then the guy after her rudely told us we need to get out. I am angry and will NOT BE COMING BACK! 😡. I WILL BE TELLING MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY THIS AND THESE PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE A TALK!!! You do NOT treat Customers this way EVER! I will be going to Taco Bell...

The workers here are really nice. The food is okay enough, but the prices are quite high compared to what you get at Taco Bell for a similar amount of money. The standard tacos are always nice and full, but the burritos are kind of sad and underfilled. I also notice a weird temperature issue: many items are tepid or lukewarm even though I am eating them shortly after assembly. I think some of the bean and meat warmers (or wherever they store the food) are not kept hot enough. Also, sometimes the tortillas themselves are almost cold to the touch somehow? I generally would rather go to Taco Bell, but Taco John's has potato oles and those keep me coming back even when the rest is of the...

The food this time was decent this time. Usually it's not made well or they forget something. The reason for the one star is the "new" sauces. After some research it turns out they came out with the new ones about a year ago. They're awful. Might as well put some liquid sugar the food instead. I honestly dont understand how someone gave it the green light. The old sauce was so good. I guess they assumed more sugar = more sales and didnt bother to do a taste test. I dont know which is worse the Taco Bell diablo or this. For reference the diablo tastes artificial and chemically. To the point I wonder if the spice comes from peppers or if Im getting a...
