Oh man where to begin??? Walking in we were greeted by one of the owners I didnt catch her name but she was the sweetest later we met her husband who was equally as great! We were seated and immediately had our server taking the order (Emma is amazing if you go I hope you get her) Our food didn't take long to come at all! atmosphere is vibrant and comfortable!! The decor very neat ! Okok back to the real matter at hand THE FOOD! My god the food! My wife ordered the walleye dinner that comes with two sides .She ordered mashed potatoes and gravey and steamed broccoli. Not to discredit the sides bc they were delicious.. the walleye !!!!!! The walleye was so moist and the breading crunchy to perfection! I myself ordered the po boy sandwich that comes with fries and I ordered slaw on the side. The slaw was very good! Along with the fries !! But the po boy !!!! Hands down the best po boy I have had in 10 years!!! Not only was the flavor perfection but the proportions of shrimp on this sandwich was very giving!!!!!! So you can't have a amazing meal like this and not end it with something sweet!! My wife ordered the ice cream nachos with salted carmel ice cream and crunch !!! So delicious and absolutely brilliant way to serve it that way! I ordered the pan handle . It was butter pecan ice cream with bananas pecans and warm butter scotch syrup topped with whipped cream and a cherry 🤌 cheffs kiss so delicious! If you have stayed this long to read all of that.. I URGE you to go try this place out and hopefully you get a chance to meet the new owners as we did and made our dinning experience just that more wonderful!!! See you guys in two weeks for...

I had the double mac attack Burger, onion rings and ordered a medium sausage and double cheese pizza. The burger was a spin off of a Big Mac. The bun was more of a roll which was lightly toasted yet still very soft and fluffy. The beef patties were satisfactory and the Mac attack sauce really tied it all together. I would rather have this burger than a Big Mac any day. The onion rings were perfect. They were just how I like them, a crispy fried shell and real ring of onion on the inside. The pizza was also VERY good. When I lifted a slice about 12-15 inches, the cheese still wanted to stay connected to the adjacent pieces just like in the commercials on TV. The edge of the crust had a crispness to it but wasn't crunchy or tough like some edge crusts can be. The pizza was a little greasy but not a complaint of mine. I mean they did definitely put EXTRA cheese on it as I requested so the grease is to be expected. The sausage was plentiful and seasoned well. The sauce had a hint of a sweet taste but mostly tomato with seasonings. Overall a delicious pizza! This was my first time eating here and I was glad I made the trip! I also must say that they have plenty on the menu for everyone so a picky eater should find something satisfying. I want to try the perch sandwich next time and get a taco foldover pizza! 5...

I use to visit this restaurant years ago and had not had the opportunity to revisit for quite some time because I was out of state, and I thought that it had closed for awhile. I was really glad that I returned to it and that the menu still had some of my old favorites that are not always easy to find. It has a nice diverse menu with some foods that you just can't always get, or at least not that taste like homemade; for example chicken paprikash with real dumplings. The paprikash does taste like maybe they add tomato to it, which I don't do at home, but it was good. The prices are not bad at all. I believe our bill came to under $45 for three adults and a toddler. I liked the 50's diner decor that it use to have better than the new look, but it is more open and roomier now. One item that we had a problem with was the spinach pie. The flavor was good, but there was not much of it. The waitress explained that they are homemade by a supplier, and that for whatever reason this batch had very little filling in it, but they took it off the menu with no problem and did not make excuses. I really appreciated the honesty and customer care. I will definitely be going back. The humus is also very good!

So disappointed in the new ownership! My family has been going to Sal and Al’s for years. The food, service, ice cream parlor and atmosphere has always on point but we’ve been 3 times since they switched owners and our service was horrendous on a slow Sunday. We order takeout and my daughter’s kids meal is missing, we called up and they gave us a heck of a deal to come back and we did because we love the menu but our experience was awful we contemplated leaving. Were sat at a dirty table with paper menus covered in old food. We’re spending $3 on a soda but don’t get any refills because the server was cleaning other tables to get cut and ignored us the whole time. The photo is of a side dish we paid for, broccoli pretty simply right? Wrong. Just stems no broccoli which they wouldn’t fix. It seems like no big deal but when you have a picky 3 year old who LOVES broccoli and thats what we’re served? We always get ice cream next door and drove out of our way to Hot Dog Heavens Hastee Tastee instead.

I ordered a cup of chicken paprikash soup and unstuffed Cabbage soup. I wish I would’ve asked to taste them before ordering because I would not have done so. Both soups seem like they just took what was left over from yesterday’s dinners, blended it up a bit and put it into a bowl. Both are very thick. Out of the two, the stuffed pepper was by worst. All I can taste is tomato sauce, no seasoning or broth whatsoever. I would’ve given one star if it wasn’t for the kind lady who took care of me at the counter.
