Mo’Bettahs is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I’ve eaten at. I have been to many Hawaiian restaurants in Hawaii and Mo’Bettahs is just as good if not better. I always like getting the regular or Da Big Boy (Ekolu) plate. I almost always get the Kalua pork and the Teriyaki chicken. The Kalua pork has amazing smoky flavor and is very tasty. The Teriyaki chicken is always cooked just right. I also always get the traditional cabbage bed, white rice, and Mac salad. Mo’Bettahs Mac salad is hands down the best Mac salad I’ve had at any Hawaiian restaurant. It is peppery and has a great creamy texture. Lastly, I get extra teriyaki “Teri” sauce. I end up drizzling this sauce on everything, the rice, the Mac salad, and the meats. I have also tried their other meats and they are good, especially the teriyaki steak, but I prefer the teriyaki chicken and Kalua pork. I also recommend mixing parts of the meal together to get a wonderful combination of flavors. Try to get bits of Mac salad, rice, and a chunk of meat cheese with teriyaki sauce on all of it. The plates are reasonably priced for the amount of food you receive. Mo’Bettahs is a place that I am always suggesting to my wife to eat at for dinner.

Food is great, issue is the consistency. Weighing the food it get it helps with keeping it standard. But make any changes to the regular rice and Mac salad or even saying no cabbage. You change one thing and it seems they become lost. Heaven forbid you have more than one item on the order that has a change your odds of the other meal being the one that's changed are 50% I live in Rigby and it's frustrating that i have to sit at the drive through and recheck my order before I get home and notice it's not correct. Another thing with Katsu sauce, I can get behind a 2 sauce limit but you need to at least fill the container, on average the sauce is maybe halfway filled or not even tp the bottom line. And if you ask them about it you get the look of confusion. Just some helpful advise have them ask if the customer would like sauce. Most the time I have to ask as they are handing me the bag, even if I tell them before I still have to check and remind them. And is the 2 sauce limit per meal or order. From my last orders it's been 2 per order, and you ask for more they just say sorry it's the policy.

Great food, friendly employees. It's a bit pricey, but you get lots of food and it is usually very tasty. The largest plate with 3 sides will more than feed 2 adults with healthy appetites. $19.01 with tax. We have loved the macaroni salad. BUT, on our visit on April 6th was different. They have changed it. It is no longer amazing, in fact it is pretty blah. The teriyaki chicken we got was nothing but bits and chunks, otherwise it was just ok. The chicken katsu was excellent. Very fresh and delicious. We don't understand why changes were made to something that was awesome.

This is a great casual fast food place. The food is primarily various meats, macaroni salad, and rice. My family's favorite is the teriyaki chicken. The pulled pork is really flavorful. It is really moist and you can tell that it has been slow cooked. They offer brown rice and yummy salads as healthy options. You control how much sauce you add. Their macaroni salad is really high calorie but worth the splurge in moderation once in a while. The staff is great! I've always been treated very kindly there. And they are willing to patiently answer any questions, explain the options, and give recommendations. They offer fountain drinks, sweet 'POG' juice and strawberry lemonade. It's hit or miss with those drinks though. They have been out a couple times when we have wanted them. It's a clean and pleasant family atmosphere. The tables are close together but you can still enjoy a private conversation. Update for Mother's Day. Mothers were treated to a BOGO offer which was really great! However, I am assuming that they were too busy today to clean. The dining room was filled with smoke and the bathrooms needed attention. The food and service were still amazing! July 2023 update: the restaurant was very clean and there wasn't nearly as much smoke. Food and service were good. *Update 8/14/25 lowering the food, service, and atmosphere score one star. It's rare to find a clean table. They didn't have all the meat selections available when we last went, so we ordered the pork instead. It was largely fat and inedible. I tried the new steamed vegetables and they were way overcooked and soggy, also inedible. Overall, we'll still continue to go because we enjoy most of the meat selections and the rice is always good. A couple people in my family also enjoy the...

I love love love this food! Whether you get teriyaki steak chicken or the katsu chicken you are set to be very pleased! The menu is simple yet diverse in possibilities, most dishes come with a bed of cabbage, white or brown rice, their classic mac salad (which is creamy and peppery as opposed to sweet or salty) and your choice of meats. I've eaten here enough times to want to give them five stars, but the only downside to eating here is the inconsistent customer service, and the occasional attitude that you might catch. Now sometimes it's not the employees fault, it's usually that they're understaffed or very busy. And since the food is so good it's easy for me to overlook, just not enough to give it five stars across the board.

With that said this is a great spot to catch lunch for a first or second date, a working lunch, or even to pop through the drive-thru and take it home. They are not shy about portions and you'll probably have leftovers after every meal.

So if you're looking for something that's going to fill you up and not leave you feeling sluggish and nasty afterwards this is the...
