it was Sunday morning and my wife and I decided to go to IHOP because I had a gift card. We arrived about 930. There was a fairly decent amount of people already there they were busy, but they were not super busy. We were quickly seated upon entering the restaurant. I sat there and waited patiently for them to take our order. I noticed that our waitress was trying to take an order of a fairly good size family. I believe eight people in the party so I was patient. As I was waiting, I saw another two couples being seated in the same sitting area as me and my wife. Another five minutes goes by and nobody comes out to take our drink order but they asked one of the couples that came in after us. About another five minutes goes by and still, nobody returns to our table, but we see the waitress walk right passes to the second couple and starts taking their order. I’m remain calm, even though I was pretty upset that they look straight at me and continue to walk right past me and not take our order. I’m not sure if it was because I was Asian and they were all Hispanic. But that’s just straight unacceptable so I actually got up and left and not give them the opportunity to provide me any service. Because that’s how it started with them not providing me any service. I do not recommend this location. I would give it a zero stars at this point for not providing service whatsoever to me after sitting there for a good 15 minutes the food‘s probably horrible also but I can’t really rate that because I didn’t get any so don’t waste your time coming to this location. You’re probably gonna get...
Read moreUsually, we have a good experience here but there's one waiter that always messes something up, and he does it several times when we have him as a server. He rarely comes to see if you need anything and if you do need anything you have to flag him down to let him know and then hope he remembers what you asked him for. This last visit, was our worst experience with him, it really took the cake. This time after he took our order, twice, he brought over our food and my order was wrong. He did apologize and said he'd have the whole order refired but I never received my food. I watched him dart back and forth trying to look busy which was confusing because the place was practically empty and then when he did decide to come near us, he would say something real quick but zip away without hearing our response. After the 4th time he zipped by, we finally asked where my food was, he didn't respond. 40 minutes go by and my family was done eating, he then came by and asked "how was everything" I responded, were is my food? He looked at me briefly and zipped away mumbling something. I decided to send my husband over to tell him we were leaving and I wanted him to remove my meal from our bill, he didn't seem to understand, then he tried to blame the cook but the cook told my husband he never knew there was a problem. We eventually found out he didn't ask for a refire, he had threw some cheese and mushrooms on my food and put the plate in the microwave and forgot about it. Took him two tries to adjust our bill correctly and by this time I was not only hungry, I had a huge...
Read moreI love breakfast for dinner, so one night while pondering my dinner options, I was delighted to find an IHOP nearby.
The place isn't hard to find; it's in a strip mall but practically on the street. The inside was clean and tidy. On a Monday evening, there were only two other couples in the entire place while we we there, and only one waiter. We were seated quickly, however, and ordered without too much delay. I tried the pumpkin spice pancakes and ultimate sausage & bacon combo. The pancakes were a bit sweet but tasty, and everything else was just fine. My wife's Swedish crepes were as expected.
The only complaint I had was on the drinks - we both ordered the new frosted mint hot chocolate. It was actually quite tasty, so no complaints on the flavor. However IHOP's website, it says refills are free. When I asked for one, however, we were told that they were not refillable. I didn't want to argue or complain because I'm paranoid about disgruntled staff adding "extra flavoring" to my food/drinks, so I just let it go because it was a big cup, anyway. On the bright side, our waiter was kind enough to bring another one while we were polishing our meals off, so it's hard to complain and we left him a good tip. We still plan...
