Looking for a way to warm up while leaving satisfied, stomach and wallet? Seek no further because Soup Shop is your stop for all this. Firstly, you walk in and get this excited feeling. Being a small spot you get a clear view of the restaurant. Good sized tables that can accommodate any customer(s) that walk in. First come first serve (unless you reserve a table), and come fast because I can tell they get busy at night.

Walking in you already get a good vibe about the place. You will be kindly seated by one of the servers of the restaurant, which is one of the daughters. I'm given a menu with my Pho, appetizer, and drink options. Staff members have no problems answering questions, and give their best recommendations. Fast paced workers with great attitudes. This Pho location is great for coming alone, or spending time with friends and family.

Signature key ingredients, enticing broth that simmers for 24-hours- the list could go for reasons to go back. Ordering oxtail with beef rib was new and needed. A mixture of this soothing broth, green onion, white onion, soft noodles, and tender meat will have you craving for more. I awaited every spoonful. Very appetizing overall.

I also enjoyed the "Crunchy Pork Bao", first experience trying quail egg- and the sweetness of the pork shoulder gave it a nice flavor. The drink options all sound tasty, I ordered however the Jasmine Honey Green Tea. This drink was refreshing after the hearty soup. If you're looking for something to cleanse your pallet that coincides with your meal, I recommend it. In the end, this is an experience for food lovers and newcomers to the Pho scene.

Working as a chef and cooking for a living I was dissatisfied,disappointed, and disgusted with the price/food quality at Disneyland, I was on the search for something that would satisfy not only my hunger but fix for delicious food. May I just say, before this review goes off on a tangent that will never make full circle...if you have the opportunity to order (and same prob goes for dining in) give this place a moment of your time. First, I ordered delivery, and the packaging and care for the food was honestly immaculate. The broth came piping hot. My gf ordered veg. Pho and ribeye steak pho for myself. The deli cup with the steak pho had a slit in the lid to most likely allow it to not steam up over cooking the steak. Both broths were very nicely seasoned. Though the only thing i have to say was that the salt was slightly overwhelming the natural flavor of the broth. That said, everything else was perfect. Sweet veg broth that had a nice carrot bochoy and onion base, fresh basil leaves, crisp unwilted bean sprouts, spicy and crunchy jalapeños and a fresh quarter slice of lime. This joint left my girlfriend and I extremely satisfied, elated, and superb. Thank you for the delicious food and attention to detail 😋 I will be ordering a few more times before my departure from vacation...

Soup Shop - State College Blvd/Lincoln Ave: A Disappointing Experience

The Soup Shop left much to be desired, especially when compared to the rich and competitive culinary landscape of Little Saigon. Here's a breakdown:

What Missed the Mark: Mediocre Flavors: The food lacks the distinct, vibrant flavors you'd expect from similar spots. What's marketed as "fall-off-the-bone" was, in reality, chewy and far from enjoyable. Overpriced for Quality: This seems to follow the formula of charging more for being outside Little Saigon, banking on convenience and proximity to Fullerton University. Unfortunately, the quality doesn't justify the higher price. Unmemorable Experience: From the flavors to the service, nothing stands out. It feels like a copy-paste effort that fails to bring anything new or remarkable to the table. The Takeaway: While it might serve as a convenient stop for locals or students, this spot doesn't hold up against the exceptional offerings in Little Saigon. If you're looking for authenticity, better service, and reasonable prices, it's worth the drive to Garden Grove or Westminster.
