My family and I went to this donut shop right after trying a sample donut from an older lady outside the Disney entrance (Very nice lady). I appreciated the lady’s hard work, dedication, and effort trying to promote her business by giving free samples on the street late at night (9:40 PM). I also like to support local businesses.
My whole experience chanced once I arrived at the shop. Once we were inside, my 4 yr. old daughter started blowing bubbles with a bubble toy machine we had just purchased. Before I could stop my daughter, the young girl told us that my daughter could not blow bubbles inside the shop which is very understandable. I understood the sanitation and food contamination aspect of the situation but the young girl did not need to be rude about it and could have asked in a much more professional way.
After the incident, the young girl was very demeaning towards us. We decided to wait for the food outside. She then gave me half of our order and just stared at me like “what else do you need?” I informed the young girl we never got our donuts and she did apologize for that. When I was receiving my donuts, one cookie fell off one of the donuts and she just put the cookie back on the donut. Also, one of the donuts fell face down and she just proceeded to put it in the box. The young lady did not care to replace either. Therefore the presentation of the donuts was horrible. I typically would not care but I was already having a horrible experience with the whole situation. I was just done and took the donuts.
It was such a horrible experience that I left Zero tip. I never do this unless I experience this kind of customer service which is very rare.
On top of this, the young lady was yelling at another employee in front of us about him pouring a juice into a container. I’m not sure what the situation was but it was also very unprofessional.
We spent approximately $32 for 5 donuts, 2 Korean hot dogs, and 1 coffee. My family and I loved the food here. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I will be back to give the shop another chance when we visit California again since my experience with the first lady was extremely pleasant and the food was delicious.
I believe this is a family owned business. If it is, please, re-train this young girl in customer service skills as I’m not the first one to complain about her. This restaurant has a ton of potential as the food is delicious and I would love to see this business strive.
8/3/2023 Updated star rating due to owner reaching out to me and us also being partially at fault for the situation. I was not asked, refunded, or compensated to change my review but I believe it’s the right thing to do since the owner is attempting to fix...
Read moreThe interior is small. There's enough space for about 8 people to wait line(maybe ten, even that maybe pushing it). Staff was not kind or welcoming at all, but we had just gone to the other two Mochi Donuts who had been closed, and my niece and nephews really wanted their meal corn dog.
Parking is terrible, especially since it's by Disneyland.
I had the original korean corn dog, and it was alright(the one I had was thick in breading and not as much cheese) . My niece and nephews thought their corn dogs were decent but would be better with the sauces they had at their other locations. However, when they asked the man at the register for sauce, he gave them attitude and told them only ketchup.
My nephews ordered mango smoothies that were not tasteful or good after 2 sips they didn't want anymore. My sister even tried their drinks, and she agreed that it was disgusting.
I also noticed that men who would go in to order were treated better in a more welcoming manner, and the man at the cash register was actually nice to them, which is not cool and disrespectful.
Customer service was terrible, and I don't plan to go here again, especially since my niece, nephews, and sister were not treated well. Instead, they were tested rudely.
I do NOT recommend this spot, and if you still decide to go here, I hope you have a positive experience and you are not treated poorly and...
